For the most part, I think it's kind of silly. Okay, your car can do 250 miles an hour- where the heck are you going to be able to DO that? Even if you're on the autobahn, the other cars CAN'T match your speed, even if the drivers are willing.
If you're going to soup up a car's speed, it should be something underpowered or otherwise disadvantaged. A good choice would be an AMC Gremlin. It was a car from the 70's that was ugly as sin, but its main competition was the Chevorlet Vega, which was basically made of compressed rust, and the Ford Pinto, which freaking exploded, so it was by far the best of the bunch.
As a bonus point, if you manage to make it zoomy enough to impress women, you've earned bragging rights for the next few lifetimes. "ANYBODY can get girls with a Ferrari," you'll be able to think, "only *I* could bring them in with a vehicle so ugly that venomous snakes flee from it in terror!".
Hahhaha my boyfriend modified a Seat leon so yeah hhhaahha it is a pretty car. I didn't know the car of his was like that when i first met him though and this isn't what impressed me when i met him but his charisma, personality and looks
I can respect it! It is a lot of fun to drive a souped up car. The thing is it is dangerous and they often pout their girlfriends in as much danger when they are speeding and flirting and all. I wouldn’t if I was a guy with a smoking hot girlfriend… but that’s just me.

If you want your car to be fast then buy a car which goes fast from the factory.
The is only one legitimate reason for doing this and that is if you need your car to be able to go fast but without drawing any attention to yourself, for example if you are running drugs or something of this nature.

That's stupid and you wouldn't do it with anything else.
Cosmetic alterations are not to my taste but not wrong in the way that technical or mechanical alterations are, cosmetic is self expression etc.
Messing around with the setup of the car is almost exclusively simply a bad idea because you can't just go dumping a load of power into something that wasn't designed to handle it, sure you can waste more of your time and money fitting lowered suspension and shitty polycarbonate bushes etc but all you are going to do is destroy the ride and make the vehicle impractical.
And of course you need brakes too and the other perhaps over looked aspect is that modifying your car will either invalidate your insurance if you didn't declare it or you will end up paying a ridiculous premium.
So nothing about it makes any sense.
Just buy something which was designed from the beginning to do the job you want it to do.

No doubt you will want to dismiss this as boring shit that old people say but what is going on there is you have created a culture where people are encouraged to drive beyond their ability in cars with questionable handling, because they have been modified and not necessarily with any degree of care, knowledge or skill.
There are other road users there and you people are doing drag races over pedestrian crossings etc.
You dont have insurance because you aren't allow to do that shit on the road so if you crash into someone no one is protected.
You all think its fine because you are too young and stupid to know that bad shit isn't just something that you hear about happening to other people it can happen to you too.
So sooner or later someone is going to get really hurt, because thats what happens.

Well, when i first met him i also thought it was immature and dumb, that it's dangerous and that he should stop doing this shit but after months of being in a relationship with him i understood that it's just his hobby which got him out of his depression. He drives really well i see it he is in control of his car. He raced with a very fast car , my boyfriend car is heavier than the other car, and that other car is a professional car. And he literally passed that car. No one before my boyfriend could do this. I think he in fact is a good driver

His car has many airbags anyway it has one in the doors in the front seats for those who seat behind and in front of me and him there are also airbags! It's a very safe car. I just hope he will grow up from this phase because i really don't want to lose him inna car accident because of his hobby

Using regular or tuned cars on public city streets, even at night for shenanigans isn't all that great. There are abandoned parkinglots, airfields, race tracks etc for this kind of place.
