Do you think reputation is unreliable?

I’ve met good people with bad reputations and I’ve met very bad people with very good reputations and in my life, it seems the worst people have the best reputations cause they fake their entire personality or people are blind to their flaws because they conform to normal behavioural patterns. Like I know a guy who told me he got angry over a hundred times a day and his friends think he is a gracious and loving person who couldn’t even hate a fly. Five of the people who stalked me online had amazing reputations, one was a bible study leader, another was a corporate guy before his brain injury, another was a church leader, and the other 2 had even more influence than that.

Four of these five people sent me death threats and told lies about my sexual history, one said I slept with 200 guys and tried over a hundred times to give my home address to convicted killers and rapists.

Uh do you not see the pattern with those who are "reputable"? It sends off ten alarm fire bells. You are making validity to a comment I made on religion. Let me guess. The death threats came from the religious ones? That seems to be their MO while using the "bible" to justify their malfeasance 🙄. If they were "godly" as they claim then they shouldn't be beating you with it. What happened to "love thy neighbor as thy love themselves" if that's love then count me out. I guess I will continue to hate everyone 🤣. By minding my own business and not using magic to validate my malfeasance. If someone starts quoting "scriptures" make like a cheetah and run.

Yes there are both kinda a persons. But percentage of bad people with good reputation is very less (for example you may count some of politicians as a bad person with good reputation)

Of course, if someone is good at deceiving others he will have a good reputation lol reputation is just what others think of you, that's not the truth about someones character and honestly many people are just stupid

It's pretty reliable, honestly. You have to grade everything on a curve, of course, but people have the reputation they do for a reason.
