The Marine is an actual hero to his country; Griner is tall and mediocre at one form of sports. The difference is, there ARE people helping to make America - and the world - a little less shitty than it is right now. Whelan is one of those people. And Griner being black (and possibly "female," I don't know what "it" is), also added to the woke victim status they can milk, despite being a generally AWFUL human being, long before this incident happened. Not to say, athletes, let alone professional ball players, are generally good people, cause many of them aren't.
