Why don't the green new deal politicians fly in electric planes?

Yes, there are electric planes. If you truly believe that the most existential threat facing humanity is climate change, then why do politicians still fly on planes with carbon-based fuel? It's true that an electric plane would have to land 22 times while going from the East coast to the West coast, but wouldn't it be worth it?

It's the same reason they'll spend $10,000,000 on a mansion on the shoreline of an ocean, all the while telling you that global warming is causing the ice caps to melt and the oceans to rise!! I remember during the height of Covid, when Biden did a zoom call with Russia. I remember thinking that this was going to backfire on him, because he is proving to the world that you can actually communicate without destroying the planet. But everyone forgot about that, and now they're back in the air in their jets.

Gotta fix that charging rate, but it’d definitely be worth it. Maybe the plane industry is the largest consumer and that probably means they’re looking for alternative jobs for those fuel industries. Not even sure, but

I agree, and think electric planes should be moved into the mainstream form of aviation’s travel.

This question is great as well, I’m just as curious as to why they would. If not pure lack of consideration, it must be some thought in economics which is the main reason for a lot of currency corruption and lack of managing problems in desperate need of intervention, prevention, and resolution/ transition.

I think at this point it’s not an emotional matter. It’s a matter of cutting the (excuse me please) bs and getting down to business with business men and women, without letting their indifference or blindness get in the way of what truly counts logically and yes emotionally/ sentimentally, as well.

Because it’s still more convenient to just take one trip, and they’re politicians to make money, not help the planet. Besides, they all know we’re over the hump with climate change. If all vehicles n shit just POOF became zero emissions electric, there’d still be the titanic task of capturing all the carbon already released, not to mention all the other kinds of pollution/habitat destruction that has and continues to happen

In a nutshell a battery big enough to power an airplane over large distance would be too heavy for the plane to still fly. That is basically it, batteries are heavy and have little energy, fuel is light and have a ton of energy. Until tech advances, planes will use fuel.
