Why do climate change activists fly on private jets, live in multiple mansions and go on cruise ships?

Do they think no one will notice? My brother has a couple of friends that live near his lake place. The husband is normal, but the wife is loony tunes. She thinks Trump is the root of all evil, and that we're all going to die of climate change. But she loves her boat, motor home, flying around in jets, and is now on a cruise ship. Do these people think that talking about it is doing their part, or should they learn to walk the walk?

There are certainly people who talk about it because it's trendy while doing absolutely nothing to actually help. But there are also people who "walk the walk" by going green in as many ways as they can. Call them out on their shit. If someone is being a hypocrite, point it out. Sometimes people need to hear it. Addressing climate change will mean making some sacrifices. Maybe that will be the nudge they need to make theirs. And if not, they never really cared at all, did they? At the very least it should shut them up about it.

Because their's money to be made in scare tactics. You can't make believers without fear. It sells faster than love. Examples; organized religion, iPhone "un-hackable", expensive cars "driver assist", lab manufactured foods "healthy", global warming "A lie since 1975" and so on.

Because they don’t really believe that the world will end in 12 years and they think that they are more important than the average person. Notice how all they ever do is talk? They want us to ride a bike everywhere while they have seven bedroom eight bathroom mansions that consume more energy in one year that the average home would in 15 years. Lighting, air conditioning, landscaping, water, gas, cleaning chemicals and everything else one needs to maintain their home.
