Thoughrs on Alec Baldwin being charged for involuntary manslaughter?

I doubt he will be convicted.
If he is, that will likely spell the end of filmmaking in New Mexico because Baldwin did nothing out of the ordinary regarding the Hollywood filmmaking process. If Hollywood's normal procedures lead to the convictions of talent and staff in New Mexico, then there's no point in filming there and risking that talent and staff when you can do your filming in nearby states with the same geography: Utah, Arizona, southern Colorado, southwest Texas...

Now, I am going to add something to this discussion no one here can.
I grew up with the Baldwins. Billy Baldwin is my age. Their father, Alexander Baldwin, was a social studies teacher in my high school and ran its Rifle Club. Of all the actors in Hollywood, Alec Baldwin would have respect for guns and gun safety because he was brought up to have that mindset by his father. Sadly, Mr. Baldwin passed away 40 years ago. He was an impressive man and loved by the students.
I think they have as much chance of getting a conviction against Alec Baldwin as I have of dating insert name of current supermodel.
The armourer who handed him the gun now, that's a different matter altogether, since she presented herself as a professional handler of firearms. You think Alec would have fired the gun unless it was handed to him by someone he trusted?
He most likely wouldn't have shot the gun if he knew it was loaded. It is the person who handed him the gun who was incompetent. To be honest, I feel bad for Alec Baldwin because this kind of thing haunts you the rest of your life. Being the one who shot the gun doesn't help and envokes shame. Unfortunately you can't change law due to the fact that it's impartial; however, the fact that kills me is this could have happened to anyone. Right now, I just hope he doesn't hurt himself or anything because the only thing that relieves some sort of shame is the numbness of depression... or drugs and alcohol-but I can't relate considering I never used controlled substance 🤣
Amazing how no one in the Marvel, DC, and John Wick movies got killed in real life with like 100,000 blank rounds being fired from all those weapons on the sets, but in this one-- a low budget, not really a shoot-em-up type movie-- someone, unfortunately gets killed. Yeah, negligence. in my opinion.
It's bizarre that they even had live rounds on the set.
@AngryCarl2 So very true!

It's absurd that it has taken this long, but it'll be even more absurd if he's somehow found not guilty, or doesn't actually serve the sentence.
Freak accident but deserved because when handling a gun, you need correct gun safety , which he failed to do. Very unfortunate but guns aren’t toys
That's a horrible instance. I don't see any other option as if one pulls the trigger then there is crime.
I don’t see how he could be directly responsible. It’d be like you being responsible for a guy jumping out into traffic and you crushing him.
But Baldwin will have the best lawyers defending him.
I think this was an accident, but he committed a crime and should not pay a long jail sentence
Well he did shoot and kill someone by accident, which is literally involuntary manslaughter
