From Rodney King to Chris Rock to Tyre Nichols to?

This video from Chris Rock was made 10yrs after Rodney King's encounter with a group of police after doing 90mph and intoxicated. It explains how to avoid being beaten up by cops. I have to assume Rodney King situation was a major inspiration.

If you don't know the story, police tried to stop Mr. King for erratic driving, he'd just had a "few beers". He did 90mph+ to escape as he was on parole from a robbery where he'd beaten/robbed a korean shop owner and didn't want to go back to jail. Rodney did not submit, was subsequently beaten by police [on video] using clubs, until he submitted to arrest. He survived that ordeal, but 40+ other people did not survive the ensuing riots, and many others had their heads smashed, like Reginald Denny. Years later, Rodney drowned accidentally in his pool. He was a good swimmer, but was on drugs at the time. He had a book he'd written, a fiance, multiple children, several x wives, a job and money. Very sad he didn't get past his trauma to a more stable life. Something was wrong...

The root cause of Rodney's life altering issues, wish I knew. Maybe the loss of his father in 1984? Maybe it's in his book.

...

This scenario is not all unlike Tyre Nichols, who was beaten by police, and died recently.

Is Chris Rock's video of value? Is he right?

Is this video benefical to society? Or do you think we can actually train police to not beat people whom fail to submit to their authority?
