The decrease of the Russian GDP is only -2.2%, which is very far from the forecasted decrease of 8.5%. And the Russian economy is not expected to fall any further and is expected to rise slightly with a growth of 0.3% just slightly below the Euro zone which is 0.7 and should even exceed in 2024 the Euro zone with 2.6% economic growth, for the Euro zone it will be 1.6%.
And beyond the rather meager results of economic sanctions, the political objectives of these sanctions are a total failure.
Why did the Russian economy not collapse despite the huge economic sanctions decided mainly by the Western powers?
Russia's primary exports are supply chain items primarily used in manufacturing. China has been their largest customer for years and America is China's largest customer. If you think the Democrats/Communists in the West were actually trying to hurt Russia with their proxy war that they manufactured and sanctions you're deluded. What they are actually trying to do is hurt Western manufacturing/economics and help Chinese manufacturing because they are bought and paid for by China/WEF. They are agents of foreign nations that have committed treason against their home nations in exchange for payoffs.

It was probably a calculated risk on Russia’s part. It would be unwise to wage war and not be ready for the consequences
