Is "slave" or "simp" the new "gay" when used as an insult?

It's quite common to hear people refer to others that don't share their conspirational points of views as "slaves" to the mainstream media. It's also quite common to hear people refer to low income men and autistic men as "simps" because many are unable to get a woman.

Are they the "that's so gay" or "you're so gay" of this generation?

Nah... a term like simp (Sucker Idolizing mediocre pussy), defines something very specific. "Gay" has become more specific with time, but when I was younger it was just a term that was interchangeable with calling someone a pussy. This is understandable because the stereotype of a homosexual (at least it was back then at that time) is effeminate, talks with a lisp, and acts like a girl. I think that calling someone a faggot back then was synonymous with calling someone a sycophant/pussy/bitch and et cetera now.

The whole gender bender and gay sex stuff comes up more and so often now that the generalized use of the word has just become much more specific in what it means to people in general. Like, if I call someone gay nowadays, they might assume I'm actually talking about that person's sexuality. If someone uses it as a slur now, it doesn't hit the same way as it used to.

i've never heard of anyone being called slave or simp in this context, i mean i guess being a slave to capitalism/mass media etc whatever makes some sense? but simp is usually for guys who just like to spoil their girl, nothing bad about it
