Has anybody ever personally experienced how hard working Hispanics are especially Mexicans? Did you know they work the most hours globally?

I went through a phase two years ago where I wanted to become a body technician for cars. I was rejected by everyone because I had no experience until I came across a Mexican owned business. the workers were from Mexico and spoke only Spanish. I live in Texas so there’s a lot of them here.

I was not able to keep up. They don’t take water breaks. They don’t chill at all. I got panic attacks inside my car driving home because of how exhausted I was. I quit after 2 weeks. I really tried. I wasn’t able to do that work. They were so energetic. I wonder how they have that much energy. I was googling this information and came across some answers and stats.

This is probably the reason there’s a lot of undocumented workers here.

Some of the hardest working people I've seen, highly motivated, with family values. To me, the fit in very well with USA and there are many in my area. They could be... one of the greatest assets to America

The issue I've heard is they don't value education as much as other cultures like Indians (the ones I meet) and Chinese. A lot of the jobs and ability to live in USA are about high end skills. A person can do extremely well as a mechanic or other tradesman with a small amount of training.

I see south americans as a positive, for the most part. They get a bad wrap due to the drug/crime issues.

Their countries are extremely corrupt. Most Mexicans don’t even finish high school because of extreme poverty

I've heard that over and over but not sure what it means. USA has shipped manufacturing to Mexico, there are some jobs. I would need a deeper analysis of the country and people to understand it.

Our shop manager was from Guatemala. He came to the US when he was 18 and became a citizen about 15 years later. He was a good worker and also ran a tailor shop on the side. He saved up enough money to buy a grocery store in Guatemala and somebody came in and robbed him and he was shot and killed.

I ate at a Mexican taco restaurant in Las Vegas that was designed to feed illegal workers at $2.00 a taco and I was shocked at how hard the restaurant guys worked to make your taco as quickly as possible and one of the reasons their amazing food was so cheap is that these guys never learned to speak English and could only sell tacos to other illegals. I do not view general labour guys as low status, their hard work makes them equal to any war hero or surgeon who has ever worked in America.

I don’t doubt it. I had a crew of Hispanics replace my roof years ago. They work their asses off in 100 degree heat, in jeans and sweatshirts, chugging coke the whole day.

Not surprising at all. I had some construction done at my rental units to add two more. The guys doing the hardest work and showing up first and leaving last were all of Mexican descent.
