People are people. Humans are humans. We all share the same core. Wish society would stop dehumanising minorities or “other” cultures they don’t like or understand. Just be kind, empathetic and respectful to others. Evolve as a society not regress or stagnate.
It is unlikely that people in society can ever be completely equal in every sense of the word. There will always be differences between people in terms of abilities, talents, interests, and circumstances.
However, it is important to strive for greater equality in areas where it is possible and desirable, such as in access to basic needs like healthcare and education, and in opportunities for success regardless of a person's background.
People in society will hardly be equal for the following reasons:
Biological differences: People are born with different physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities. For example, individuals may have different heights, body types, levels of intelligence, or emotional intelligence, which can impact their abilities and opportunities. While society can strive to provide equal opportunities, biological differences cannot be eliminated, which makes it difficult to achieve perfect equality.
Socialisation and upbringing: People are raised in different environments, which can have a significant impact on their abilities and opportunities. For example, individuals may grow up in poverty or in a family that values education or certain skills, which can impact their chances of success later in life. Even with equal opportunities, people will still come from different backgrounds, and these differences can impact their chances of success.Personal choices and interests: People have different goals, interests, and aspirations, which can lead them down different paths in life. For example, some people may choose to pursue a career in the arts, while others may choose to pursue a career in science or business. These personal choices can lead to different levels of success, even with equal opportunities.
Competition and scarcity: In any society, there are limited resources and opportunities, which means that people must compete for these resources. Competition can lead to inequalities, as some people will be more successful than others. While society can strive to create a more level playing field, competition will always exist to some extent.
Power structures and social hierarchies: Societies are organised into power structures and social hierarchies, which can lead to inequalities. For example, some groups may have more political or economic power than others, which can impact their access to resources and opportunities. These power structures can be difficult to dismantle, making it challenging to achieve perfect equality.

+1 yEquality of outcome is an illusion whether financial or social. The best humanity has come up with is equality of opportunity, where the hardest worker succeeds the most. Left alone, it functioned. But now, with various interest and corporate groups trying yo tilt the table to their advantage simultaneously, it cannot function as designed. Grasping human desire for wealth and resources crashes into human entropy and results in people trying to scheme and manipulate instead of invest sweat equity, which is where we get today's result.

+1 yNo, because the problem is equal doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.
When you say society ever be equal, I literally think of everyone having the same car, same house, same cloths, same everything...100% equal, because if someone has a better car or a bigger house, then those with smaller or less value stuff are no longer equal with them.
It would also mean the same pay for any job.
I also hate the idea of everyone having equal opportunities because a opportunity means nothing if nothing comes of it.
Some people will always think they are superior to others, even if you remove race from it. They'll think they are better than others because they have a higher IQ or some other reason.

Never. Look at it like a race, we don’t start on the same line, we don’t have all the equal opportunities, therefore we don’t finish at the same level.

+1 yAlthough humans of good will could help reduce inequalities, the notion "equality" does not exist in nature, and we as humans do belong to nature. People are not born equal, and I don't mean short sighted notion of discrimination and racism, but we all are born in different conditions of all kinds, like social and climatic conditions, heredity, genes, intelligence etc. Meaning nobody has the same advantages and disadvantages at the start, nor the same resilience to deal with that.

last time it happened in EGYPT, this rich guy mansa musa threw money to poor people and the people quit their jobs, 90% of the work force was gone overnight!..
there were no cops, no thiefs, there was no bread in bakery or Milk at dairy, patients were ill and suffering because nurses were gone.
world works and run, on the concept of "Supply and Demand" you supply work forward, and get cashflow in reverse.
Economy- means studying of lack and surplus of various resources, if you create surplus everywhere, without lack there will never be a flow.

+1 yNo never. There are shitty cultures and there are advanced cultures. That's just a fact. Some people deserve to be dehumanized. Certainly you don't support a culture that circumcises and stones women. And tollarace should work both ways. I say tollarance, because tollarance and equality are two different things. You can Black American and an East Asian access to the same rights and privileges, but that doesn't mean they're culture, morals and values are the same. Anyone who believes so is incredibly naiive

+1 yNo. Because of nature.
1. People are born with different features, disabilities, hot or ugly, tall or short, etc. Different personalities and dispositions, low or high iq...
2. Nature requires effort. It's a system where people need food water etc to survive and even more things to thrive. No matter what's invented someone must work or do something to provide. So there will always be limited value and unlimited demand. Due to #1 value cannot be split equally and even if it could it would not be fair... ie someone who works for value has to share with someone who plays video games all day. Not fair but equal.
The whole concept of this is basically ridiculous due to logical flaws, there is no concept in which it could ever work so forget about specific application.

m +1 y"equal" is too simple of a concept
it is actually vague and undefined because it is quite broad... and we as societies are not that, societies are complex and complicated and humanity is even more intricate than that
so no, we will never be able to reduce all of that and to simply just say that every single one of us is/are "equal"10 Reply - 5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yIt depends on what you mean by that. People are being taught that being kind and empathetic is a political decision.
I think most folks are kind of abandoning the idea of an equal society, meaning equal access to opportunities, etc.
I can't how the United States stays united for much longer. We are probably going to split up into the default American society. . . and one that is for "White" nationalists.
00 Reply No MILF. I don't think experiences can ever be equal.
Two man love same girl. The girl chose one man. The other man sad. Even in a perfect society this will happen. All we can do is to build a just and fair society. But human suffering is inevitable.

+1 yof course it won't and it fucking shouldn't be equal. equal is another word for "the same". people aren't the same. a society where people are the same is extremely dystopian to me. equality of outcome is a horrible thing to strive for, cause equality of outcome means there can't be free chocie. equality of opportunity is an acceptable concept, IF it doesn't happen at the price of creating new discriminations.

+1 yBut due to cultural differences that have emerged, groups and their members are different. Our cores are equal at the moment of our birth, but things change quickly after that. Even the way we are raised as babies plays a big role in how we turn out. And that varies dramatically from person to person and culture to culture.
00 Reply 26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No, as much as we like to talk about how we are all created equal, the truth is there will always be people that are bigger, stronger, smarter and more adaptable than others. Evolution demands that the more gifted individuals get to reproduce
00 ReplyThere is always going to be people who are unkind, not sympathetic and not respectful towards other people. This is unfortunate but still true.

+1 yWishful thinking. I doubt it'll ever happen. Some people are naturally selfish, there will always be someone who wants what others do, and will do anything to get that.

+1 yNo it won't, even if you create what appears to be an equal society, it will still be abused by those in power.

We should all let everyone do what they want……
