+1 yI have no problem with arrest and a month in jail for trespassing and contributing to a dangerous situation, disobeying orders to enter (if that's what happened). But the democrats... this shows their thinking, it shows why so many on the right don't trust them.
They are the very definition of "fruit loops"... like the cereal. I can only guess that is what they all have for breakfast.
I can understand the police escorting him around because they didn't want to create more conflict with a "potentially mentally ill" questionable person, and end up in a fight and possibly lose their life... aka Derrick Chauvin and so many other police. Better to escort around as long as is peaceable. They were very accomodating to him and appears non threatened.
I could find no evidence of ANTIFA's riot, praying to others, thanking police... especially when they were burning down a church
So yea... Tucker just blew the door off all the BS, he needs a fresh trial with all the evidence provided to his lawyers, and likely, he needs to be set free asap.
I'm all for finding where he is in prison and protesting outside til he gets a new trial.
I hate to say it... our country is terribly divided. I'd take that idiot over most leftists, and all of antifa... eventhough they have a right to their opinions.

The hearings were a kangaroo show trial.
If buffalo boy should be in prison, so should the capital police who escorted him around the senate building and didn't try to eject or arrest him.
The Democratic leadership began demonizing Trump and his supporters from the day he was elected.
If the events on Jan 6, 2021 were an insurrection, they why weren't the events on inauguration day 2017 an insurrection? On that day, Democrats rioted violently, fought with police, and burned cars outside the capital, throughout Washington DC and around the country in order to stop the peaceful transition of power. Even the Democratic leadership refused to accept the results of the election.315 Reply- +1 y

@OatmealMuffin That’s because he’s a shitlib. He is one of two completely shameless liberals here, who oddly aren’t even American, who LOVE to chime in and tell us all how AWFUL America and and Americans are.
But if I tell them that Germany is a country full of losers who lost TWO WORLD WARS...
or that Sweden is so Woke that their men are born with vaginas...
And my posts get oddly removed.

I tried to reason with him, but that's not possible. I told him to focus on this question, and the video, and just give a reply. At first he argued that he doesn't have to watch a video to know that Tucker is a liar. What? How stupid would you have to be to post about a video you didn't even watch? And why is a German butt-hurt over the American news media? I blocked him, and I'm going to block all non-American liberals that don't have a dog in the fight. I talked to a dingbat from Switzerland, who said Americans are horrible for shooting down balloons? What? So Norad tracked the Chinese balloon that left China, went around Russian airspace, flew into American airspace, then hovered over military installations. Did this dingbat think that the 200 foot tall balloon came from a Toys R Us store? I've blocked most of the UK liberal idiots. One of their lame excuses is that they say that what happens in America, has a ripple effect across the world. OK, then why are the Brits crying about our border wall?
I don't bother arguing, anymore. I just block them. - +1 y
@OatmealMuffin You’re awesome. I prefer to ridicule and mock them. Especially the foreigners. They love to whine about how terrible Americans are yet they listen to our music, watch our movies, view our television shows, and even speak our language. It’s pathetic.

@Agagagagaga
Someone yesterday was crying that Americans aren't sending enough money to Ukraine. What? We've sent way more money than the rest of the world combined. So I say, America should just stop everything and bring all of our troops in the world, home. Let South Korea deal with North Korea. Let Europe deal with Russia. So if the whole world wants to shit on America, and especially the foreign libs on the Internet, then in the words of the Bonnie Raitt song: "Let's give them something to talk about." If they think 150 billion isn't enough for Ukraine, then let's give them zero. It doesn't matter what we do, they're going to hate us. So let's spend our money here at home. Tell that to the German lib. - +1 y
@OatmealMuffin Fuck Ukraine. I hope it gets turned into a howling wasteland.

@OatmealMuffin I absolutely hate it. It’s crazy to me how the Liberals have gone from protesting war to writing blank checks for its expansion and continuation. Here’s a billion dollars! And another billion! And another and another! Here’s 100 billion! Goddamn we’ve got to help out the Ukrainians because how else are we going to keep the money flowing to the arms manufacturers and military contractors? Goddamn pieces of shit. And every Liberal who CHEERS for the war in Ukraine is a piece of shit. UKRAINE can't WIN!
It’d be like if Mike Tyson fought a one-armed 90-pound weakling with bad reflexes—but maybe, MAYBE if we hand him a baseball bat he can
win. And all the while the poor bastard is getting his teeth knocked out and his brain rattled in skull.
“Throw in a brick! Give him a knife! Maybe that’ll do it!”

Liberals hated war in the past, and you're right. They did a 180. And they used to love freedom of speech, but now they want to kill a conservative speaker on a college campus. And you're right about Ukraine not being able to win. People are just so stupid, they think Putin is losing this cat and mouse game. I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard that Putin is going to take the gloves off, and then the real war will start. I think so far he was just testing the world. Now he knows that Ukraine is his. - +1 y
@OatmealMuffin I follow the war very closely. The vast majority of what you hear from the US and Western media is pure propaganda.
Haven’t you noticed how Russia NEVER seems to do ANYTHING right?
Their military isn’t that tough! They were supposed to conquer Ukraine in THREE DAYS (a timetable cooked up by US interests to stoke fears and encourage spending on the war...
and when Russia doesn’t “win” in 3 days (again, Western propaganda set that time table) they say proudly:
SEE! The Russians aren’t so tough! Why, Ukraine MIGHT be able to WIN this war...(now let’s send them some more money and get some contracts going)
Oddly, you only ever read headlines like this:
Russian advances halted!
Russian general killed!
Another Russian general was killed!
A single Ukrainian regiment held off the Russians!
“The Ghost of Ukraine” is an ace fighter-pilot with numerous Russian planes it shot down!
Another Russian ship destroyed!
Why Russian tanks are falling apart!
Are you noticing a trend?
Amazingly when you watch non-Western media and uncensored war videos, you see a much different story.
Trenches full of dead Ukrainians. Ukrainian troops hiding in fox holes who get riddled with bullets. Ukrainian buildings and blocks completely leveled, and Ukrainian cannons and positions being destroyed with air strikes and drones.
You won’t see that on CNN. Or MSNBC. And you won’t read about it in The NY Times. Hell, they won’t even print a single battle that the Ukrainians have lost, or a town or city that they no longer hold.
It’s sad. Because I’ve actually been to war and seen a lot of death. Ukraine should have peace talks—but what did the US and Britain say?
“Nah fuck that! Keep on fighting! Go Ukraine!”
🥊 🥊🥊
There goes more teeth.

@Agagagagaga
Trump offered to go over and negotiate peace months ago. The left didn't want any part of peace. And I heard that Ukrainian fat cats were putting pools in their backyards and going on vacations with the billions we're sending. And have you noticed that Zelenskyy can just roam about anywhere and not get bombed? Are we to believe that the Russians don't have spies that know where he lives?
The left is so stupid. Some jackass yesterday told me that our Southern border is sealed, and no one is coming across. He was as dumb as the German idiot that can't watch a video and see the truth. - +1 y
What people aren't aware of is, Ukraine has been bombing purely residential neighborhoods, targeting open-air market areas, etc. for the last five years for no other reason than terrorism.
The west has NEVER mentioned any of that. Russia came in to help those people and the west characterizes it as an invasion. OMG, that madman Putin wants to overrun Europe!
It's like Israelis flat out murdering civilian every single day but all we hear is crickets. But some Palestinian bottle rocket lands in an Israeli field and we are all treated to endless broadcasts about Israelis being terrorized.
Another thing about Ukraine is, Russia tried in good faith to negotiate a peaceful settlement that would protect Russian-speaking and ethnic Russian Ukrainians, and prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
NATO exists to be hostile toward Russia. - +1 y
What would the U. S. do if a hostile power engineered a coup d'etat in Mexico and started building chemical and biological factories, as well as bringing in troops and building military bases with rockets that were capable of carrying nukes on our border?
But the U. S. characterizes Russia of imperialistic aggression when it refuses to all that right across its border.
Oh, and we act like the fact that actual, old-fashioned Nazis in Ukraine is a conspiracy theory.
+1 yOnly a complete and utter moron would call this an insurrection, but not say a word about the insurrections that happened during the summer of 2020. This was all to make sure Trump couldn't run again, because Democrats are no longer a party of ideas. Let's get Nancy on the stand and have her explain why her and the mayor refused Trump's offer of 20,000 national guard troops.

Here's what Carlson says in private (exposed in court documents): "That's the last four years. We're all pretending we've got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it's been is too tough to digest. But come on. There isn't really an upside to Trump."

@OatmealMuffin What would be the point of watching the video? Have you heard of "Critical Ignoring"? ↗ I assume it's Tucker's attempted re-writing of history that even Republican legislators are saying is bullshit.
Don't forget, we all saw it in real time. Just because there were moments or pockets of calm, that doesn't mean all the bad things didn't happen (and it doesn't mean that it wasn't planned in advance; there are already two convictions for seditious conspiracy and two more trials ongoing). - +1 y

You didn't respond to the question, you threw out your own lame propaganda.
- +1 y
Why not focus on the author's question, and then have the balls to ask your own question?
- +1 y
@OatmealMuffin OK, I see the video is relatively short. How does video of someone not being arrested on the spot negate video of that person committing a crime? How does video of one person being relatively peaceful negate all the video of people attacking police officers? How does any of that "demolish" the claim that it was an insurrection, especially in light of years of investigations that show it was a planned attack and that the conspiritors knew that the election was fair?
- +1 y
Have you written your own question yet asking those questions? Why are you trying to hijack this guys question?
- +1 y
@OatmealMuffin I'm not hijacking anything, I'm pointing out the flaws in the reasoning in the video he posted.
Carlson lies to his viewers (a fact established in a court of law, as well as in the revelations of Fox News internal communications). No amount of video of someone not committing a crime can negate video of that person committing a crime. Angeli/Chansley wasn't convicted of being violent, so why is Tucker making such a big deal about him not being violent in the videos?
"Chansley pleaded guilty in September [2021] to one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, namely the counting of the electoral votes in the presidential election. The charge has a maximum 20-year prison sentence, but Chansley had no prior criminal history and was not accused of committing any violence on Jan. 6." - +1 y
I'm going to make this easier for you. You're now blocked.

by the way @Juxtapose: How does video of someone not being arrested on the spot negate video of that person committing a crime? How does any of that "demolish" the claim that it was an insurrection, especially in light of years of investigations that show it was a planned attack and that the conspiritors knew that the election was fair?
- +1 y
Let's get some facts straight. I'll quote..
Some people acted badly. A handful came ready for a fight while others admit they were caught up in a mob mentality that unfolded over the course of the afternoon.
The overwhelming majority of protesters did not act badly or violently. Not only do security footage and other video sources demonstrate that is indeed true, the Justice Department’s own data supports it. “Parading” in the Capitol, a class B misdemeanor, is by far the most common charge in the Justice Department’s sweeping investigation. According to an update published this week, 919 out of 1,000 defendants face trespassing charges. Of the 518 who accepted plea agreements, 385 pleaded guilty to misdemeanors and 133 pleaded guilty to a felony.
The most common felony is not “insurrection” but rather obstruction of an official proceeding. Fewer than 20 people face seditious conspiracy charges.
Roughly 100 defendants are accused of attacking police officers with a dangerous weapon. No one is charged with carrying or using a firearm inside the building.
Speaking of police, body-worn camera and independent video show outrageous misconduct by law enforcement. D. C. Metropolitan Police launched an aggressive and unnecessary offensive against the crowd assembled on the west lawn. Even though protesters were respecting police lines at the time, footage shows officers throwing stun grenades into and other devices containing rubber bullets into the crowd beginning shortly after 1:00 p. m.
(Continue on further) - +1 y
Video and testimony by Capitol police officers at trial confirmed how that activity enraged the crowd. Other officers shoved women down stairs and shoved one man off the upper terrace balcony.
This conduct continued inside the building. Some officers shoved and hit individuals inside the Rotunda and other areas. A brutal scene in the lower west terrace tunnel unfolded as police used their batons to beat at least two women on the head resulting in bleeding and injuries.
Excessive force caused the deaths of four Trump supporters: Ashli Babbitt, Rosanne Boyland, Kevin Greeson, and Benjamin Phillips.
On the flip side, despite persistent claims even by Attorney General Merrick Garland and White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre as recently as this week, no police officers died as a result of injuries sustained on January 6. Officer Brian Sicknick is on video walking around after he suffered a pepper spray attack; he died of a stroke the next day. There’s no evidence the reported suicides of other officers after January 6 were related to the protest.
Further, the responsibility of sufficiently protecting the Capitol with enough officers fell to the Capitol Police board—staffed by the sergeant-at-arms for then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and then Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund repeatedly testified that he requested additional help including National Guardsmen days before January 6. Even as the chaos unfolded that day, House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger delayed pursuing the proper authorization of the National Guard.
Irving told House Republicans that his staff as well as members of the House Administration committee began planning for January 6 weeks before the protest. Jamie Fleet, a security staffer for both Pelosi and the committee overseeing Capitol functions, told the January 6 select committee that he started preparations for January 6 in the summer of 2020.
(Continue) - +1 y
When the building was breached at around 2:15 p. m., Congress was not voting to certify the electoral college results at the time, a common misperception. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Arizona) were in the process of disputing the election outcome in Gosar’s home state, a process permitted under the Electoral Count Act. The joint session of Congress technically had been adjourned an hour earlier so debate could begin.
For all the wasted energy spent over the past two years that democracy almost died on January 6, the chaotic protest only delayed the certification ceremony for seven hours. Joe Biden officially was declared president at 3:00 a. m. the next day.
The surveillance video viewed by Carlson’s team has not been made available to defense attorneys, arguably in violation of defendants’ constitutional rights.
A separate trove of tapes that captured activity from the hours between noon and 8:00 p. m. was turned over to the FBI in early 2021 to use in its investigation. With few exceptions, all footage remains under protective orders. Defense attorneys consistently have complained that access to the full archive is constrained by the protective orders.

"Most of the protesters were peaceful and the DOJ's own statistics bear that out."
And most of them weren't indicted.
Most of the 25 million BLM protesters were as well. A much higher proportion, in fact.
"For all the wasted energy spent over the past two years that democracy almost died on January 6, the chaotic protest only delayed the certification ceremony for seven hours. Joe Biden officially was declared president at 3:00 a. m. the next day."

Nah @goaded She’s just not a deluded shitlib like yourself who refuses to look at the mountain of evidence that January 6th was a federal instigated operation. Ray Epps was on video screaming about rushing the capital and going inside... was he arrested? Charged with sedition? (Never mind all the people who started screaming “Fed! Fed! FED! at this obvious agent provocateur. Nah. He’s oddly been completely untouched—in fact he’s celebrated for “testifying” in the same event that he helped instigate.
Odd that.
Oh and the dozens of officers who just waved people through, and opened doors... so they could queue up and walk past velvet ropes, completely unchallenged.
Oh and QShaman guy. That terror of the Right, wearing a headdress and face paint, was escorted around by 2-9 armed police officers who didn’t challenge him, didn’t arrest him, didn’t obstruct him, and in fact who opened goddamn doors for him.
But I know, I know, Tucker released the footage so goddamn you’ve got to stick your head even further up your anus and just swallow the narrative you were fed by your shitlib media.
Who cares if Republicans are Nazis. Or that Trump is your Orange Hitler. The whole goddamn operation is incredibly SUS.
But I know, you’ll just stick your head a little deeper up the shitlib channel of bullshit, take a big ole whiff, and go, “LOCK “EM ALL UP!!!”
Except for Ray Epps. 😇 🙄
1.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Lots of possibilities:
a. Snitches/government agents are almost always involved in protests and egg people on. Nothing new there. Snitches get paid more if they report on really bad stuff vs minor things so they try and 'help' & encourage people to do worse things than they would've done without the snitch's involvement. So within the protesters you would have had some of these types.
b. Some cops may have wanted the building to get taken over because they wanted the government to change. But when this failed they can't admit it or they will be in prison for 20+ years.
I'd say the guy shouldn't get any more punishment than if he had only put 1 toe inside the building since he was ushered deep into the building. But this is the risk of being in a protest. There's a reason why a lot of people don't bother with peaceful protests at all but would be okay with fighting a war if the had to. Cause 1 has less bs than the other.
10 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Tucker knows the truth. He was given a ton of video by the Speaker McCarthy to use to further the lies that some Republicans are spreading about the insurrection. But most Republicans admit that the actions that Trump enabled were violent and criminal. That is because they were able to watch it all live on TV at the time. But they are playing to the idiots who will believe anything!

No, shit head, the footage was given to tucker Carlson to slice and dice as he pleased to push a far right narrative, because fox News is a campaign arm of the republican party - not a news source. Everyone knew he was going to do exactly what he did. No one thought anyone would be fuckwitted enough to believe it, though.
Fuckwit 🤣 - +1 y
CNN is right of center. And I would only maybe use their anchors as a source, not their commentators. Especially when it comes to their take on a criminal trial - if a prosecuter shows video of you raping a child but then you later leak to someone who wants you to get away with it some videos of the times where you weren't raping children, that doesn't mean the prosecuter left out relevant information. Context is important but that has more to do with the desperation of the circumstances or maybe plausible reason to believe they didn't know any better. If anything, Tucker's footage negates that argument entirely. It is for the express purpose of packing more rage into the far right, because they don't have any merits.
Also, what is with the far right misinformation trying to brainwash people with the idea that anyone on the left likes CNN? The only mainstream source the left generally likes is MSNBC. CNN is basically just Joe Rogan but on cable. They will sit a veteran and expert in a field across from a well-known quack and give them each equal time, without mentioning one is a quack. Iletimately thing CNN will be the next Fox News if this dominion lawsuit brings them down, - +1 y
Yeah, the far right fake news does brainwash people with that misinformation but that's just because they know if their viewers spent a single second not being completely hostile to CNN some of their viewers might watch it and notice it is basically the same thing as Fox, but with the occasional injection of reality.
- +1 y
Or put another way, you don't hear much from Fox about the Palmer Report, the Huffington Post, the Young Turks, Heather Cox Richardson's substack, or even MSNBC because they know that even on the off chance their viewers found themselves so far outside the far right bubble that they came across any of these, it would basically come off as a foreign language to them and they'd just turn it off. But CNN is so close to Fox in content - Tucker Carlson started his career on CNN, you know - yet definitely a step to the left of them. Fox sees CNN as the only real threat to siphoning viewers, and so trashes them thoroughly.
