The death penalty at face value is hypocritical. You can’t make a logical argument that killing is wrong and then condone state executions. If there are moral exemptions to taking a life, then doesn’t that strengthen the pro-choice argument?
no it's not, you take away life so the state takes away yours. and no, idc if you tell me the fetus is a clump of cells or that it's a parasite when such arguments are fallacious and not based in science. life begins at the moment of conception when the sperm fertilizes the egg, and unless the fetus is proven to be a threat to the mother's life, then it is not a parasite. i personally do believe that pregnancies as a result of rape should be terminated though (and actual rape, not the woman regretting it afterwards but being fine with it during the act).
I'm against abortion but that doesn't mean I am pro life. I'm against murder, but I'm not against the death penalty. Killing is not always wrong, but murder is. The death penalty by the government for murder or rape is not murder, killing in self defense is not murder.
@RonStone45 Self-defense is an entirely different thing. The death penalty is nothing more than retribution. A incarcerated person is not an immediate threat. The only difference is the killer is the state and not an individual. What’s the logical argument for it? How do executions demonstrate to the public that killing is wrong?
The death penalty is a valid punishment for certain crimes, and it would also prevent those crimes as the death penalty seems worse than prison.

A human tends to take care of its parents later on in life and contribute to society or his people, not something a parasite does. I'm against people having control of their bodies so long as it's not a modification by the gov. If a loved one was trying to harm themselves wouldn't you want a cop to stop them from harming themselves? What about inappropriate relationships? I don't believe in my body my choice. Not having control of what you do with your body is normal, having your body significantly modified by the government or job is another story. Murdering is wrong* Death penalty by the goverment (killing) for certain crimes for the guilty scum of society is not murder.
Not having control of your body by the government is different from having your body modified from the government. One is you're prevented from performing a modification on your body by the government but your body itself is left alone/not modified by the government.

I agree that murder and killing are not the same thing. Murder is a legal concept. Something we humans made up. To separate when a crime is committed from when it's not in case of a death. That is exactly why abortion is not murder.
Natural selection doesn't work like that. Natural selection is a process of evolution. Evolution implies changes in DNA. That's one of the things that separates it from adaptation. So we can have all the abortions we want and our DNA won't change. So no natural selection.

Because they desire a stranglehold over everyone and every group that opposes and stands up to them. Much of the language for these proposals comes directly from private interest groups with deep pockets that are in turn, funding many Republican candidates and elected officials. Candidates and officials who need and want political backing, campaign contributions, and their own bills supported play ball with and become mouthpieces for these interest groups. Said groups very often originate and are further developed by bodies which exist at all sectors and levels of government, including the legislative and judicial branches, all industries, and have been adjusting their systemic structures of control for years. Further, these organizations have not-so-secret agendas of a world based solely and explicitly upon the principles of white supremacy. The anti-abortion movement is not rooted in morality, nor health, but in racism and eugenics. Limiting and destroying access to healthcare, including abortion, reduces the ability for people with limited means to access proper and safe healthcare on a consistent basis. As historical evidence shows, this leads to an overall downward trend in health outcomes for communities, except in communities where people are able to afford to live and obtain higher quality care.
What's hard to understand? Death penalty cases come into play when one person murders another person or treason is committed. This is because people have a right to life under the constitution unless they violate the law and trespass on the rights of other people. When you deprive another person of their right to life, you open the door to forfeit your own life as punishment. It may not go that way if a jury decides otherwise, but it is a possible outcome.

Any measure that protects the life of a human being from its conception is seen as something positive.
It is important to note that I am focused on protecting the life of the fetus, and any law that penalizes people who decide to terminate a pregnancy is a deterrent to prevent abortions from being performed.
However, it should be noted that any measure that could result in the death of a person from having an abortion is considered extremely controversial and may raise ethical and legal concerns.
In conclusion, any measure that protects the life of the fetus is positive, but any measure that could endanger the lives of women or be seen as a form of punishment would be considered controversial.
They value the life of the unborn more than the life of the woman. This is why a lot of us have problems with some in the pro life moment. They are really mostly antichoice and their great compassion for the unborn seems fake. How can people have so much compassion for the unborn and have none for the born (including women choosing abortion sometimes out of desperation) is incomprehensible to me. Then again you have a commenter on here saying a 12 year old girl should keep legs closed so that goes to show the level of compassion some people have.
Let’s be honest, many Republicans don’t like women having so much control over their own bodies.
But not all Republicans agree with this. In fact, I don’t even believe a majority agree. So can this really be considered a Republican proposal? Or just some the actions of some screwball? I’m gonna go with just some screwball….. for now. We’ll see if it gains steam.

I am not surprised to see a perspective that is so Black-and-white like this. I already know this concept pretty well. It just doesn't consider any other factors. I know the whole "eye for an eye. Tooth for a tooth" perspective. But this is a very grey area, and a Black-and-White perspective is too simple and does not consider its control over people.
No, the person who got the abortion, but she may be a 12-year-old girl's parents. Will the parents be killed for their daughter's actions? To what lengths will parents protect their daughter's actions? What happens if she doesn't get an abortion and the little girl kills herself because she wants to avoid humiliation?
