What made the whole LGBTQIA+ and transgender thing politics?

I personally don't think it's even politics. I also don't think it depends on beliefs as well.

If a man prefers to date another man, then that's their choice, their preference. Since when had it been about politics on who you prefer to date? Then, it was gays, lesbians and bisexuals (probably more) and straight people were shaming them for having a different preference than them, because they thought as it was not right in their book.

There are people who doesn't "believe in" male-to-female female-to-male (transgenders) because they don't get science. I can tell you for a fact that scientists and doctors/surgeons can tell you that the procedure can be done, and there's lots of proof. The same people whom you rely on to save lives. Why should this be considered as politics and a belief?

Then again, my opinion doesn't matter. I obviously can't do anything about it. I say my opinion doesn't matter, because of society. Y'all don't give a shit.
