Because they exclude one race deliberately (White folks) and are a condescending pat on the head to non-whites because they are not being awarded for their accomplishments more being awarded for being non-white as though they can't compete against whites because they are inferior.
Well, white people win a disproportionate amount of music awards. Like in 2022, 70% of the Grammy Award winners were white, even though only 60% of the US population is white. This is the trend across all music awards. (although to be fair it has fluctuated a lot)
SO I think the point is to give ethnic minorities the opportunity grammys dont give them - the point definitely isn't to disclude white people
BUT bc the statistics fluctuate it's debatable whether or not they are really necessary
AND considering your point - I think it's honestly debatable whether or not they are actually racist towards the ethnic minorities they're trying to accommodate for
but I am white, so my perspective on it is honestly pretty pointless, I think this just needs to be chosen by people who actually are affected by these awards

That’s a great question, I don’t really know. I would have never thought of something like that.
If you consider the actual historic meaning of Racism (American slavery was a perfect example, as was the Trail of Tears), no it is not. Free choice and free speech allows us to advocate anything we choose. I'm a white MAGA guy who would defend this with my AR-15 with the large capacity magazine.
People of Color Awards do not harm me, deny me my rights, property or money. Leave them alone.
I mean, to a point yes? But I guess its no more racist than sports tournaments are sexist for having a male and female tournament. It still makes me snicker at the idea that by your logic, male athletes are prohibited from competing against female athletes because they are afraid that they can't win.

Nope. Quite the opposite. That they are necessary, is a result of decades and more of White bias.
No they were created because in the past they had no professional reward ceremonies like white people had.
Yes but historically viewed POC weren’t allowed in movies or given awards. Not sure how or if Anya up there got a POC award, but whatevs I don’t really care about award shows anyway as they’re self masturbation for actors.
Not if they are being thrown by people of color. It's just sad that we still have people that feel the need to make the separation by color.
What's the point of awards in the first place? Here's your bozo button.
Since when is Anya-Taylor Joy considered poc? 😂 She’s only 1/4 Spanish (who are also white Europeans) 3/4 English and pale as a ghost
Yes. If the opposite was true black people will be crying racism.
Of course it's racist. The Left hates White people with a passion.
Absolutly yes.
it’s like saying white is not color
Yeah. Its massively racist. Its almost verging on Hitler.
Simples...
