I just heard a Budweiser spokeswoman say that if they didn't keep up on their marketing strategy, young people would flat out quit drinking Bud light. LMAO.

Fratty out of touch? Really? Do you think she's ever been to a frat party?

Me thinks she's getting nervous about the boycott, I'm trying to justify this to her bosses.

When I saw this interview with Ms Buzz Light, I couldn't help but imagine a scene with John Belushi, a giant beer bong and 50 cases of old style Bud. Fred: Ready to set a record, John? I think she's an idiot. I've seen Bud Light being consumed almost exclusively by college age kids and young soldiers. If she had cited almost any other offshoot of the company, it would've been more believable. I can't imagine a serious person doing or saying the things she has without maliciously intending to sink the brand.

Here's what really happened: she's had all sorts of sunshine and BS shoved up her ass, probably doesn't get out much or have much of a world view at all beyond what she's presented by other people in the form of pie charts, and legitimately thinks she did the right thing thanks to having been "educated" on marketing by professors who have never actually worked in that profession. You can't be effective at marketing when you don't understand or even know who your consumer base is, and regardless, pandering to a fringe group within another fringe group by way of a lunatic who isn't really even liked by his own niche demographic while also associated with a polarizing and unpopular political administration isn't a good business strategy no matter what you're selling.

All that said, Bud Light is disgusting cheap beer I haven't so much as sipped in a decade. In fact, I would cite it as one of the main contributors to why I've never been much of a drinker. Of the people I've known who do drink it, 100% of them will admit it's terrible and the only redeeming factor is being cheap. If she really wanted to expand the brand without nuking its base, she should've addressed the quality, or introduced a better brew.

Exactly, and it goes a bit further than that at times.
For example, I am a big Star Wars fan, and it was announced that Disney might do another Rey trilogy. She is a very controversial character, and the last trilogy failed miserably and led to much division in the fan base and general public.
So why take the risk again? I question much of the leadership of the entertainment world.

If she thinks that pride beer will increase sales, then it's a great idea. But that's not what's happening. People all over the country are boycotting the product.

She reminds me of those people who go to the casino and play the slot machines regularly. They spent $200 in win 50. Then when they see you, they tell you about the $50 they won last night. I truly think they believe they made money on that venture.

I've personally never drank alcohol before, never will either. In some places so mamy young people aren't drinking alcohol, that the local governments launched campaigns to try to get young adults to drink. I recall japan doing that more recently.
