This is at worst a case of Negligent Homicide, not Murder 1.

He had his knee in the guy's back. That is not a "Choke Hold". A "Choke Hold" knocks a person UNCONSCIOUS in 10 or 11 Seconds flat and kills them within another minute or two.

The EXPERT Medical Examiner concluded George Floyd died from a Fentanyl overdose, and although you cannot find the video online anymore, George Floyd was FOAMING AT THE MOUTH before he even tripped and fell to the ground.

He was resisting arrest and REFUSED TO OBEY THE OFFICER'S COMMANDS AND NEVER DID OBEY THE OFFICER'S COMMANDS. THAT IS THE THIRD FELONY HE COMMITED AT THE SCENE.

THE FIRST FELONY WAS COUNTERFEITING MONEY AT THE SCENE.

THE SECOND FELONY WAS ARMED ROBBERY WITH A SHOTGUN AT POINT BLANK RANGE.

THE THIRD FELONY WAS RESISTING ARREST.

THE FOURTH FELONY WAS PUBLIC INTOXICATION

THE FIFTH FELONY WAS POSSESSION.

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT STATE'S LAWS, BUT IN LOUISIANA IF YOU DIE WHILE COMMITING A FELONY, THE LAW SAYS IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT, AND THAT FURTHER YOUR LIFE AND HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRACTS ARE VOIDED.

SO IF THIS HAD HAPPENED IN LOUISIANA, DEREK CHAUVIN WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PROSECUTED FOR ANYTHING, BECAUSE GEORGE FLOYD WAS AT FAULT FOR HIS OWN DEATH..

The jury illegally convicted this man of a "Crime" when the only crime was commited by George Floyd himself.

This is exactly why I oppose Jury Trials and it's exactly why the Bible does not have Jury Trials. In the Bible, the accused is put on Trial before a panel of 12 Doctors of the Law, not 12 random scrubs who have no law degree and who have been brainwashed to be biased against the defendant.

Since I am an expert martial artist, I would have testified in Chauvin's defense and explain that he did not use a lethal submission on George Floyd. That wasn't even a "good" submission, since you can get right out of that.

The claim that Floyd was "choked" is patently false. Again a choke hold or sleeper hold knocks the victim unconscious in 10 or 11 seconds flat regardless of their weight class or body type.

@FunkyMonkee When you OD on Fentanyl tha ttends to happen, and since the drug is illegal and there is no standard 'safe' dose, there's no way of knowing how much will give you a high vs how much of it will kill you. many illegal drugs have a similar problem. Even cocaine is like that too.

You make some excellent points here. Although I’m fairly certain public intoxication is a misdemeanor or infraction not a felony in all 50 states.

I fully agree with the rest although my comment does not negate in the least the main thrust of your argument.

The highest reasonable charge should have been negligent homicide not murder 1. Clearly he has been used as a scapegoat by the crowd that 1. Hate police, 2. Believe there is a hidden or overt system of oppression against blacks, 3. Are racist against whites and 4. Believe white cops are killing blacks all through America for a varied assortment of reasons.

I would add having formally worked in this field that an ambulance should have been called for him when he stated he had trouble breathing. He can easily be transported from the hospital to a jail once stabilized.

None the less this matter is being used politically and sinfully.

I think he deserves another trial as the initial charge was completely inflammatory to start with and clearly politically and possibly motivated by anti white racism and anti law enforcement sentiments.

Given EVERY other officer whom had similar scenario was not convicted and most of those citizens whom died were non black, then there appears a racial bias in this case. The other officers got sham trials as well... at least one of the officers wasn't within distance.

Sadly, govt isn't about laws or right and wrong, it's about order and control. They will sacrifice soldiers in the military like pawns... remember Iraq where they couldn't shoot towards a Mosque? They will sacrifice police and you can see so many officals that won't protect them. wherever they are... police or other.

Thing is... where do you find an unbiased jury and whom would want to be on it for risk to their own life?

The other side of this is why they used techniques and restrain as they do... e. g. when people turn on cops and try or succeed in killing them. Those have to be considered for it is the Police viewpoint as to why they would be so awful to a citizen. Cops see this stuff, they are trained, they deal with drunk, disobedient, or dangerous individuals periodically. Every engagement could be death... so I can see how they end up "swinging a sledgehammer at a fly". Doesn't take much to become heartless. No excuse... cops should monitor for life in those scenarios and consider the human being. But, need to consider their side.

I selected only white victims, and ignored race of the cops...

Just because other officers in the past got away with it doesn't mean Chauvin should. That kind of backwards thinking would mean we'd still have slavery.

If one looks at the history of this issue and protections for police, he went to jail for... what... rest of his life... because girlfriend is black, primarily. If girlfriend was white/chinese, the scene would not have gotten the attention it did, the pressure wouldn't be there to convict.. it be questionable if they go to jail, no black people would care... thus no social outrage, only a jury to decide.
girlfriend story up to that point was told. There were many ways he could have avoided getting into that conflict.. like respecting the shop keeper who followed policy regarding that fake $20... afterall, he didn't need cigarettes post covid right? getting into the police cruiser and being processed. He'd have been out a day later. That wasn't told. It all falls on officers and every time someone is difficult to arrest, it creates a % risk. Officers make bad decisions sometimes, in some cases, they make 1000s decisions, but one bad one, and they are done.. and it's "all" their fault. That's BS.
That was an unfair trial.

you are correct girlfriend was not put on trial for his crimes which there were multiple, including assaulting police officers, resisting arrest, because he died while under custody.

The police should have a requirement to monitor the vitals of those in custody, that needs fixed ASAP and render aid. That would have saved the fella in Tennessee possibly.

He died because he kicked officers in the face and pissed them off. The other videos I showed the officers weren't even abused in some cases, and they still killed the guy... always guys.

I think the real solution here is for you to sign up for police department. We've only gone backwards, nothing is better... if not worse.

This guy was a victim of racism. He was a cop who arrested a dirtbag junkie who resisted arrest. He had been guilty of police brutality but trying him for murder was not justice. It is this same racism that will prevent him from getting a new trial.

He should get a new trial. I'm not about to suggest that Chauvin is a tragic hero or anything (by all accounts, he was not a great cop at all). But looking at the evidence and the fact that at least one of the jurors had to drive through protestors to get to the courthouse, I think there is definitely justification for a new trial.

Also, there's to consider that bodycam footage had to be leaked online three months after. Seems incredibly suspicious.

Derek Chauvin should have access to a retrial but he would never get a fair one in Minnesota, even outside Minnesota it could be problematical unless they can select jurors in the voir dire that can eliminate potential jurors that have pro BLM bias, given how the case was covered by MSM that would be virtually impossible unless those jurors were drawn from another countries jury pool.

I think it was the right move considering the cruelty of what he did. However, if you watched all the clips, George Floyd was saying he was having breathing problems before he even was on the ground. I still think the knee to the neck is what killed him, but maybe he would still be alive if he wasn't already having breathing problems from the drugs he was abusing. The knee to the neck is a way to restrain Dangerous and Violent People throughout the world when it comes to policing. It was always meant to protect the Cops and the Disorderly Citizen. It was never meant to suffocate and kill somebody.
