This chase is a Megan special. She planned it I think to coincide with her award and to take advantage of Diana’s death in order to raise their profile once again as it is sinking here in the US.

I have great healthcare. I had a heart attack last year that nobody saw coming. I have a team of about 8 specialists I see, and unlike the U. K. or Canada I can see them short notice, whenever I want, and without going through my general care physician first. They call to check in on me at least once a month in addition to all my visits. I'm on 5 medications and injections after we've tried 3 prior combinations for maximum effect. I went to cardiac rehab twice a week for nearly 4 months where i received dedicated care by professionals in a 1:2 ratio. My total hospital bills were over 1.2 million and my medication runs (pre insurance) $800 a month. The new trial shots I'm on are $400 twice a month.

My actual out of pocket per year is capped at $2500 because of the insurance I purchased through my employer. I pay 80% of each bill until my portion hits 2500, then I pay nothing else the rest of the year. Sorry, not sorry, not apologizing for our healthcare.

It depends on your condition and to a certain extent what city your in. If you've got heart issues it's very quick but if it's just a bit of an achy hip you'll have to wait a while. In truth most places aren't meeting their targets but that's often due to karens wasting the doctors time.

I've got a bad back from three vertebrae that didn't like the IED we drove over and I was in the Army, so my knees suck. I don't have to wait for those guys either. Can usually get in the same or next week.

I'll never wait for any health care in America. I've had immediate access to any drug/trial/treatment/specialist whenever I've asked for it. Once my doctor was on vacation and I had to wait 2 weeks or go to another partner in her clinic. I waited two weeks because I really like her. Mostly it's been same day or next day availability. Same with my aging mom, who God willing still has a great many more years in her. sss

I'm glad your system works for you, but I've certainly got no complaints here.

On a side note, does your NHS cover me when I'm a tourist there or do I continue to get travel insurance? Haha, I mean if EVERYTHING is free then why do I keep buying this, ya know? Not trolling, just looking forward. I'm overdue for another trip across the pond.
