[normalice]

Is prefer Hutchinson vs Biden, as it would show the GOP has done a proper job of excising it's extremists. But I'd settle for DeSantis as at least the perception of a tiny baby step from the far right ledge. Going to vote for Biden in any case, though. The man has been absolutely astonishing. His one glaring mistake, the reason he is so hated, is because he wants to raise the taxes of everyone who owns the media. And so the negative coverage is nonstop.

Oh, and RFK is a far right candidate who should be running as a republican, if at all. But Flynn, Stone, Bannon, etc are trying to create an "unfair primary" narrative to divide Democrats like they did in 2016. They know they just need to discourage a few thousand people in a handful of swing states and they walk away with another victory for the far right.

[strateguy632]

the news media openly favored biden with non news comfort words like "not terrible" added only as favoritism while compelled to admit biden policy is harmful and "wrong" see sample in my mytake.

[normalice]

The media has not favored Biden since January 2021.

[Siri137]

Nor should they, because it isn't their job to "favour" any presidential candidate over the other. They're supposed to remain impartial and just report the facts, but of course they never do this, and so people have to turn to non-mainstream sources.

[normalice]

@Siri137 sadly, non mainstream sources don't even try to hide their preference for a candidate. There was a brief time after January 6th where the media seemed to really want to Biden to succeed for the good of the country, but by around January 10th they slipped back into contemptuously hoping it all burns down if they can't have their christian nationalism.

The only source I've come across that seems to keep partisanship largely out of it is AP. But there's no commentary. And one could argue there shouldn't be but the simple fact is people just don't have time to get PhDs in every topic in the media every day. Someone to dig up the relevant backstory can be useful. Unfortunately, most commentators only dig up the backstory that confirms their bias - or perhaps rather digs up the backstory to their own bias.

The Atlantic seems like it is full of writers who try to strive for objectivity, but of course that is ultimately unobtainable (still important to try, though). They did seem to recruit intelligent people from all over the political spectrum. David Frum, for example, is a former Bush speechwriter. I probably disagree with most of his policy positions, but I can't deny he's really good at making his point.

It's just so time consuming to peel through the layers of bias with every news thing there is to watch. I will say I watched a few MSNBC segments where they spent a lot of time emphasizing that their own story was only speculation. That got my respect.

[WanderingLoveWizard]

As much as I would love to see Trump back in just to rub it in everyone's face, I think it will most likely be Biden for another 4 years.
I only say that because whatever you think is gonna happen in American politics, the exact opposite will happen.

[ChillaxingLove]

I don’t think we ganna vote Biden in office again. I think Trump definitely has a chance. He’s looking like the black sheep that was miss treated honestly.

[strateguy632]

to wan but that was not the question!

[WanderingLoveWizard]

@ChillaxingLove God I hope so

[WanderingLoveWizard]

@strateguy632 Hey you're right, it wasn't the question, whoops! I don't know how this got MHO lol

[Anonymous]

If people don't know Biden is senile by now I just don't get it. My grandfather had advanced dementia so I know what it is and Biden has all of that and I knew it way before the last election. He's got to be on some kind of powerful medication the rest of us don't even know about just to be able to do the limited appearances he has done.

[Siri137]

RFK vs. DeSantis. At least they're not senile or insane.

[Leapfrog00]

It would be nice to see someone other than Biden or Trump. One is clueless and the other is too opinionated. If Trump would keep his mouth shut and just worry about the job in hand, maybe. He has to constantly downgrade everyone and the illegal immigrants, God! He said the other day if he gets elected again, he is going to abolish the amendment where if an illegal immigrant is born in America, they automatically become a citizen. That amendment has been in the constitution forever. I don't support anyone who is trying to re-write the constitution because history has shown us it becomes problematic.

I wonder if this Rober Kennedy guy would be a better choice. I've heard mixed reviews about him, but you never really know. Hell, he might show them all up! ( or he might not).

I fear for this country if Biden and Trump end up being the only two choices.

[KostasKouvalis]

Trump-Biden would be more entertaining, but I prefer De Santis over trump.
I genuinely had to Google the RFK thing, 'cuz I had no idea there was another Robert Kennedy, let alone that he was running for President. From a historical standpoint, it would be epic to have another Kennedy in the White house, but epic isn't worth sacrificing the country over

[Christoff92]

Biden is a old fart. Trump is a old fart. Battle of the old farts 🤣😅

[John_Doesnt]

If you still support Donald at this point you are officially lost. He was the worst president in recent history and he is literally on trial for multiple crimes.

[ImalwaysrightOK]

No. The worst president in history is the dementia ridden fraud currently calling himself "president".

[Filthy_Immigrant]

@ImalwaysrightOK don’t waste you device’s battery on this individual. If g@g had an influencer badge on trolling he would of been an influencer years ago

[ImalwaysrightOK]

@Filthy_Immigrant thanks ☺

[John_Doesnt]

@Filthy_Immigrant I see two trolls who are working their half brain cell together to form one solid brain cell.

[exitseven]

@John_Doesnt If you look at 12 of President Trump's accomplishments in office and look at 12 of president Biden's accomplishments in office then tell us who is the better president/

[Filthy_Immigrant]

@exitseven proof, facts and research dont work on Biden supporters. they rather hear propaganda that accomodates their believes

[John_Doesnt]

@Filthy_Immigrant Donald's only accomplishment is being a criminal and getting impeached twice. Biden's accomplishments include recovering the US from the Covid crisis, that Donnie of course made worse. Biden has also improved our relations with the countries that Donnie damages and pretty much everything Biden has done is undoing all the crap that Donnie did to our country. He's had to clean up the mess left by your idiot in chief that you still support.
Did Mexico pay for the wall yet? Oh right, it's falling apart and Donnie took the money from the military during a fake national emergency to pay for it. And don't forget the country was in a recession because of how badly Donald handled the Covid crisis.

[exitseven]

Trump handed Biden a working vaccine, a stockpile of respirators and an economy that was so strong that covid just seemed like a bumping the road. The so called impeachment you mention were both fake. The Russian collusion one was based on a fake dossier that Hillery paid for. Mexico did not pay for the wall but they agreed to keep the illegals in Mexico until their court date. That may have been just as effective a deterrent. It was Joe Biden that left the unused wall sections that the taxpayers paid for rusting on the ground. Biden could have gone down in history as a pretty good president if he just left all the stuff that was working alone. Instead he is the worst president in American history or maybe the whole world.

[John_Doesnt]

@exitseven Donald denied the vaccine worked and spread misinformation about the virus. He failed to enact any legislation in a timely fashion and people died because of it. The impeachments were real, just like Bill Clinton's impeachment was real. Get used to it. The wall was a stupid idea, only the biggest idiots support a border wall because most illegal immigrants come over in a plane.

[exitseven]

No, that never happened. What really happened was that while Trump was having the vaccine developed Biden and Pelosi said they would not take a vaccine that Trump had gotten made. They said they did not trust it. That is what really happened, look it up.

[John_Doesnt]

@exitseven sure that's what happened and all the evidence is on Hunter's laptop and in Hilary's emails. You probably believe in andrenicrone and Oprah harvesting kids.

[Filthy_Immigrant]

@John_Doesnt yeah in your parallel universe he did.

Biden and the rest of the democrats PAID China to initiate the pandemic in order to use it as a weapon to remove Trump, so of course the democrats are gonna look like the hero here.

And what the fuck are you talking about Biden making relationships better? We are the biggest fucking laughing stock in the world right now thanks to Biden and is that why China, Russia, Brazil, India and 2 other countries don’t want to do business with us now? Speaking of Russia Putin never invaded any country when trump was in power and can you explain how trump was able to shake hands with him Putin and Kim Jung Un? Cause that to me is improving relationships with other country.

Oh and don’t get me started on the evonomy

[Filthy_Immigrant]

Economy*

[John_Doesnt]

@Filthy_Immigrant what a stupid conspiracy theory. You probably think lizard people are involved and Oprah is a pedo who drinks kid's blood. You've proved yourself to not only be ignorant but gullible too.

[Filthy_Immigrant]

@John_Doesnt the pot calls the kettle black ey? I bet you believe CNN and all these news network more than you’re own family members. But you’re a prime example of that quote that goes “there is no worst blind then the one who does not want to see. I hope your ignorant ass doesn’t have any kids since you sound like you don’t mind the school department forcing children to become gays and lesbians by making them believe you have the ability to automatically change your own gender

[John_Doesnt]

@Filthy_Immigrant you're sounding more and more deranged. Do you believe Jesus was real and that Noah and his flood were real? I'm guessing you'll believe anything.

[Filthy_Immigrant]

@John_Doesnt now I can see why your screen name has the word doesn't on it. cause John doesn't think, believe, study, analyzes, realizes, get educated and over all doesn't do shit with his brain.

I rather be deranged then closed and narrow minded. hell Beavis and Butthead are more informed than you. till then I'm gonna stop responding now, I'm not gonna give you that rush on dopamine that you been craving after since the day you made your account

[John_Doesnt]

@Filthy_Immigrant another conspiracy rant. Didn't read, but I'm assuming you talked about bigfoot

[Siri137]

John D. - Jesus actually was a real historical person, and the fact that you don't seem to think he was just tells me how shockingly misinformed you are. I guess next you'll be doubting the reality of Karl Marx and Napoleon.

[John_Doesnt]

@Siri137 the evidence for a historical Jesus is flimsy at best. www.youtube.com/watch
There is more evidence for Spiderman than Jesus as you can easily find people named Peter Parker in a New York phone book. That is more evidence for the existence of Spiderman than Christians will ever have for Jesus.

[Siri137]

That guy is a fool. He unfavourably compares the amount of textual evidence for someone who lived during the first century, approx. 2,000 years ago, to someone who lived during the 18th. Of course there won't be anywhere near as much evidence for Christ as there is for Washington, for the simple and obvious reason that paper, being the fragile and extremely combustible material that it is, will not last very long unless a real effort is made to preserve it.
The Shroud of Turin is likely to be real, because the C-14 dating that was done on it involved using samples from areas that had been used to strengthen the cloth after it had been damaged in a fire during the Middle Ages, and that is why they got the dates they did (i. e. 12th to 13th century).
The vast majority of biblical scholars, both Christian and secular, agree that Jesus Christ lived, as an actual historical figure. Whether he did, or could do, the things that were attributed to him, is another story though.

[John_Doesnt]

@Siri137 Pontius Pilate, the man who supposedly met and ordered Jesus' execution: we have plenty of writings and documents by Pilate. He lived in the exact same time and the bible even claimed he met Jesus. We have proof he existed, but nothing from Jesus. Pontius Pilate was just a governor but we have writings about and from him. Jesus supposedly raised the dead but we have 0 documents from him or about him at the time of his existence. Are Christians claiming Jesus could raise the dead but he didn't know how to write?

[Siri137]

Maybe you're not aware of this, but there were many self-proclaimed "messiahs" during the first century in Roman-occupied Palestine, and he was almost certainly one of these figures. I don't believe that Jesus could raise the dead, or perform any other miracles, but just because there is no (or little) evidence for the miracles that were allegedly performed, that doesn't mean a character like Jesus didn't exist at all.
Pontius Pilate was a high Roman official, so of course he could read and write, and so it stands to reason he left more documents behind, but the majority of people within the empire were illiterate, so you shouldn't be surprised by the lack of documents left behind by Jesus of Nazareth. He was probably illiterate as well, even though there is that (disputed) passage in the New Testament where he supposedly writes on the ground.

[John_Doesnt]

@Siri137 except there was Spartacus who was of similar social status and we have plenty of evidence of his existence because of all of his great deeds. He was also crucified and criminalized. Saying there was a guy named Jesus at some point is irrelevant because there's a guy named Jesus cutting lawns for a living in my neighborhood.

[strateguy632]

yup all 8 options male, the dnc voters rejected the female nominees, i mean no support in primaries and then biden took the rejected kamala!! who the voters, within dnc did not want.

[goaded]

Was the 2016 nominee a woman, or not?

[Exterminatore]

Biden vs Desantis. That’s the only way we won’t end up with 4 more years of the current retardation and people voting for Biden cause they don’t like the Donald’s mean tweets.

[richardcory]

None of those sound appealing to me. The idea that democracy provides the best candidates seems clearly false.

[zagor]

OMG none of the above of course!

Pretty sad commentary on our country that those are the likely choices. Well, except for the ones with RFK Jr., that's just not going to happen. Could have, if he hadn't gone off espousing bizarre causes.

[Anonymous]

It is all a joke at this point.

[Hispanic-Cool-Guy]

Too funny. 😂

[goaded]

Has done since 2016.

[Whatthefluff]

Fuck dude. All of these suck so bad I wish I wasn’t born

[Sirenboobzilla]

So close to moving to Czechia till this is all over

[exitseven]

I want to see Biden Vs Trump. It will be interesting to see how the voters react to a presidential candidate who will not debate his opponent.

[goaded]

What, like Trump?

"As Ron DeSantis kicked off his presidential campaign last week, Donald Trump was asked during a golf tournament about meeting the Florida governor on the debate stage. “They say he’s not a very good debater, but maybe he is,” Trump said of his acolyte turned adversary. “We’ll find out. Maybe we’ll find out. Because unless he gets close, why would anybody debate?”"
www.vanityfair.com/.../republican-primary-debates

[exitseven]

@goaded Trump is so far ahead of everyone else in the field he does not have to debate. Biden is polling 7-10 points behind Trump he will not debate because his handlers know he would be totally outgunned and outclassed..

[goaded]

So you admit Trump doesn't want to debate his opponents in the primary.

[exitseven]

@goaded yes, he thinks it is a waste of time.

[goaded]

That's what he says, I think he's just scared. Every time he spouts his ridiculous conspiracy theories on national media, he loses Republicans even more votes.

[exitseven]

@goaded He has had two major TV appearances in the last month. One of these appearances was set up by CNN. It was an obvious hit job but he went anyway and nailed it too.

[LiamJHayden]

From the major parties? Phil Scott vs. Andy Beshear. A Blue State popular Republican and a Red State popular Democrat. In other words grown ups who know how to get along with the other side.

[Filthy_Immigrant]

Have no choice for trump vs Biden since Biden really wants to set him demented ass for failure.

Especially now that he won’t be able to rig the election again

[Dargil]

It's time for the grandfathers to retire. DeSantis/Ramaswamy vs RFK Jr/sane woman or POC.

[Hispanic-Cool-Guy]

I personally think it's going to be a 3 way debate, Biden, Trump and DeSantis.

DeSantis most likely will be president next.

[Anonymous]

Biden vs Trump will get Biden in for another 4 years.

[runnerboy]

None of them... but I wish Trump would just go away or maybe go to jail!

[MeatPuppet]

RFK Jr. Vs. Trump as they are the candidates that are the most alligned with the interests of the American people.

[Iron_Man]

Trump VS Biden Round 2 the final round between these two

[Unknown29]

I disagree. Although I love Trump, I’m not willing to risk losing to bidet. Desantis WILL win. He’s your governor, shouldn’t you know?😁

[Iron_Man]

He’s way behind Trump now I’m rooting for Trump. If Trump doesn’t win than I will choose DeSantis.

[Anonymous]

Oprah vs. Trump. Now that'd be entertaining.

[CuriousMufuxka]

B will happen. The nomination debates are gonna be hilarious!

[najekim]

Basically, if the candidate is Republican or Democrat, they don't get my vote.

[Anonymous]

I think it would be funny if Trump lost to Biden again.

[Anonymous]

No Trump. No Biden. No DeSantis. I don't know anything about RFK Jr. but he probably sucks like the rest of them.

[nolabels]

Vivek Ramaswamy vs. RFK

[Anonymous]

I doesn't matter because i am moving to Canada.

[OddBeMe]

JFK Jr vs Nixon jr. Rematch. Cage fight!

[shortster]

RFK versus Vivake Ramaswamy

[Angie4343]

I don't know man

[whistlingwh0res]

Hillary

[Asker]

Clinton?

[whistlingwh0res]

Yess

[Asker]

Good to know you support a corrupt, warmongering witch.
