Should we do away with the practice of a job interview?

I say it’s about time we came up with a new system. Job interviews are stupid. I don’t believe it’s a fair or accurate assessment. A person can be a great employee, but terrible at interviewing, and vice versa. Additionally, the questions asked are so stupid. “Why do you want to work for this company?” The same reason anyone wants to work anywhere, to have money.

I agree with you about that sort of interview question. My company doesn't ask questions like that. We focus on two things -- the ability and maturity to perform the job.

It would be nice t onever have to go though that again but I don't know of a better system.

I worked with a guy who did absolutely nothing. He privately told me he used to be lazy. lol He said he had 5 kids, his wife worked 3 jobs, and he played video games. But he passed the interview.
