People tried to kill me personally three times that I know about. After 9 years at war I've been shot at a bunch of times, but those weren't personally directed at me, I just happened to be there. I got blown up in '09, shot in '17 (somebody finally connected), stabbed way earlier than that but don't remember when that was. Had a heart attack. Was pronounced DOA mistakenly after a car wreck (whoops). Helicopter took a hard landing one time and some of the pieces fell off, which for me was really just more inconvenient because I lost my coffee and I was exhausted, but some of the other people on the bird were pretty shook up. I've loaded up pieces of my friends into bags/on stretchers twice. That sucked. One of my colleagues was lit on fire and took over a week to die. I didn't know her though, but still pretty crap way to go. One that I was friends with called us after he got blown up and lost both his legs to say he'd get some cool prosthetics and be back in a couple months. They missed a piece of shrapnel that traveled into his heart and he died on the bird to Germany. His parents didn't find out until after they landed 12 hours later. Dozen or so other ones across the years were cut down to early.

How'd I move past it? Time doesn't stop for me or anybody else. Just gotta keep moving on or getting left behind. Also I have rescue kittens that depend on me to be functional and provide for them.

I recently survived a tornado. It leveled my house and two close neighbors of mine. I still wake up in a cold sweat reliving it but I am actually proud of the way I handled it. It came on quick, with no warning! As it was hitting our phones were sounding the alarm to "take cover". I immediately grabbed my wife and kids and told them to go to the basement, like a dumb fuck, I went looking for my phone, so we would have some type of contact after it hit. That's when my 200 pound Weber grill came through our sliding glass doors and I said "FUCK THIS"! and ran to the basement. What got me through it, was my neighbor Jon's calming demeanor through it all and my friend @Slingblade1126 friendship. I owe those men and my wife and kids love and patience my literal sanity!

The worst was when a malicious doctor took advantage of my anxiety attack before my medical catastrophe as an excuse to give me fresium which causes hallucinations and the dosage they gave me was extremely high so I experienced ordinary fear multiplied 200 times because of the drug exaggerating any paranoia you feel. I believe he wanted me to commit suicide so I would not sue the hospital for denying me medical treatment when I went there lining up for help and got ignored and ghosted because of my refusal to calm down my anxious expressions.

Yes I was in 2 comas.. both due to epilepsy but am fully healed today and have had my diagnose "epilepsy" removed from my medical records for 10 years..:)

I survived a freak accident that was the scariest, weirdest and unbelievably six months in my life. Still today most people don’t consider me as being anything more then like a ghost who isn’t here. Trust you would not believe it either especially those six months.

I survived drowning when I was a little kid. I can't say I ever moved past it, I think I still have PTSD.
