Why do Zionist people claim that Israel is their land even though Israel hadn’t even been an independent jewish led state for 2,533 years?

Yes, the state of Israel did exist at one point prior, but at one point 2,533 years prior when it was taken over by the Kingdom of Babylon in 586 BC.

So whenever I hear things from Zionists like “the muslims and the arabs stole our land”. This is a complete fallacy and far from being historically accurate.

And even if it were true, it is still very far removed from being at any recent point in time in history.

There are no living people today, or their descendants that were personally or indirectly affected by such a move.

And the formerly majority Arab population residing in the region never even consented to the idea of there being a Jewish led state in the first place. Where they would go on to become second class citizens afforded no legal protections or civil rights.

They were not even so much as included in the talks that led to the creation of this new state. Even though they were the majority population residing in the region at the time.

Yet Israeli police mistreat these people every single day and the country itself regards them as second class citizens.

Yet they wonder why these people are angry and there are constant terrorist attacks against them.

Even though they’re continually pouring fuel on the fire by expanding settlements and occupying the west bank even though it was suppossed to be a UN backed two state solution.

So how can any person in good faith not expect retaliation from Palestinians and continuosly decide to support Israel?

Only reason I can think of is because they’re putting their own personal and political interests first.

Especially considering that the Arab and muslim majority population was never even included in the talks that established Israel as a state.

In order for a state to form, isn’t it only fair if a majority of people residing in the new proposed state actually consent to the state’s creation and actively participate in the process?

I just don’t understand how anybody can support Israel

In Israel today, A majority of Palestinians aren’t even considered legal citizens. They don’t have the right to testify in court and the government reserves the right to evict them from their homes. And neither are they allowed the right to vote or help decide the country’s future.

Muslims and Jews had been living peaceably among eachother in Palestine for years. But Israeli jews today would rather have an ethno-nationalist Apartheid state

Because they have a legit claim as much as the Arabs have. Since the Arabs came in 6th century AD when Islam conquered much of what´s today the Middle East. Sure there are no real descendents in the country but if you checked your history properly you´d know that they were expelled by the Romans after the bar kokhbar revolt in the second century. That was to a time where no one actually thought of Islam and Arabs were polytheists. So that´s not really an argument to me. Because the Jewish claim is older.

Back to today the problem isn´t that easy to solve because sure there are problems in Israel especially with the situation in the Westbank. But there are aspects you not only miss out but completely ignore. For instance what about the situations of Jews in Damascus, Alexandria or Bagdad there have been big communities in those cities and countries in the middle ages and later. Go to a muslim country and investigate the situation of the Jews there. Do you find any Jews in those countries? The last time I checked none of those communities have survived. Why because Muslims aren´t that friendly to choose either. Jews are as much second class people in Muslim countries and no one talks about that. I´m not saying that to legitimise Israel´s behavior towards Muslims. I just think it´s naive to believe that Palestineans and Jews have lived peacefully together or would live peacefully in a Muslim country.

I'm not from Israel so I'd guess that the majority of the people going to elections don't vote for their parties. The majority of people living in Israel are Jews and they probably don't want to be governed by a Muslim party.
Israel has a special focus on Jews yes but it's still a democracy so people are governed by whom they vote for. Nonetheless there are parties that are supported by the Arabic population.

Almost everything was going against them to begin with in even establishing a Jewish homeland. Moreover they nearly lost it twice. Tactically there is no way they should have won either the Yam Kippur or 7 days war. Yet they did. Now here we stand in 2023. Nearly the entire world stands against them. Why? Because they lost that land at the end of WW 1. That’s how wars work. Typically the victor retains land as part of peace agreements.

The Ottomans lost that land to the Brits. The Palestinians being their subjects.

But they’re mad at the Jews, not the Brits? When you fight on a loosing side in a war and loose land as part of the peace process, that’s not theft. That territory became British property and they had the right to grant it or do whatever they wanted with it.

They didn’t under the Ottomans either. They haven’t been sovereign over any of that territory since BC times.
