How much money do I save by not getting married & divorced and being childfree?

Regarding divorce, the safest is to get a woman who earns the same or more than you so that you will not have to pay alimony to her and you can actually benefit when splitting the assets. Otherwise, if she is poor, it depends on your savings during the marriage. Let's put another 500 thousand as a typical amount so we get to a million. Of course, maybe she stays with you but if she does not pull her own weight financially she could cost you a million, too.

As a watch-out, single high earners tend to desire early retirement which could erase a decade or more of earnings, so this can easily be 1.5 million in the opposite direction. They also tend to spend more money on pointless long-lived objects of consumption such as expensive boats and cars.

And most of all, you will have no daughter and no son. Not sure if you would have a woman. Will she be happy without kids? All in all it sounds too sad.

Depend, I know lots of people that actually spend a lot more when alone than when married cause she blew it all on clothes, video games, tattoo, piercing, casino, prostitute, drugs, etc... so when they got married and had childs they became more mature and they actually saved money by getting married.

Also getting married is actually the ways to go if you want to save money cause you share all expense (rent, food, electricity , water, etc..) it have been proved that you actually save money when you're in a couple. (at least in my country). But of course if you're the one paying for everything it's gonna cost more so it really depend.

Just depends on your job. It's also a known fact that married men are more successful and wealthy compared to single men

You need to pay for medical care for them which generally means some sort of insurance payment. You have 19,722 meals to feed them before they turn 18. Right now the average American is spending $300-$500 a month per person on groceries to cook meals at home due to food inflation… On the low end not considering future inflation you’re hitting $65K over 18 years just to feed them. You have to cloth them for 18 years. You need to get them school supplies. You have to transport them which puts miles on your vehicle and which requires fuel and maintenance and causes vehicle depreciation. You have to house them. You need to supply clean water for them to drink, bath in, and wash their clothing with. You need to buy them hygiene supplies to clean themselves, their cloths, and their messes. You have to furnish rooms they live in. You have to provide electricity to keep the lights on, heat/cool the water and the spaces they live in, power their electronics, etc. These are very basic things, but many parents will give gifts on birthdays and religious holidays. They will provide computers and software, entertainment, cell phones, summer camp, fund hobbies like team sports, art lessons, dance, music lessons, etc. they will help pay for college, some help teens get their first car, etc. Kids can be very expensive. That figure just based on the necessities is pretty conservative.

I paid for all three of my children without a drip of tax money. This includes through their Master’s degrees. As a matter of fact, I was taxed quite heavily… likely more per year than you make, certainly more than the average American makes. I made that money because I am good with understanding money and investments. Its a good investment.

It's very amazing to me how many of my co workers have turned in to the woman instead of the man of the house. If you are good at saving money and invest wisely it should be easy to accomplish on your own.

Getting married provides a lot more financial benefits in terms of dual incomes, tax breaks, etc... The rules are different for married people.
