If you are approach by someone saying "Yo... gimmie some cash/ food, gimmie that"...

Step 1: Bring your energy UP! Give them positive energy and offer them some hope and $ and food, whatever it is.

Step 2: Wish them well, get the hell out of there

Very simple solution. doesn't always work, but generally does. This concept of confront or "turn your back on them", or fight... bad plan! Some of these people are VERY sick emotionally and will kill without hesitation. Don't know for sure what happened in this case but these young "gentlemen"...16 and younger, blew this 31 year old Chinese immigrant delivery driver to hell for 4 shots to the back... over chinese take out! You see any remorse?

Another example... Car jacking performed by 16 year olds, feeding a chop shop with stolen cars. Brilliant business!

Most of America is very good, but we have problems with poorly raised humans and it's getting worse. This young Chinese man paid the price.

You can watch these videos all day to summize what culture is most risky to deal with so you can make your best decision. So much of making a decision... is looking at the individual, and assessing the risk... and thus action.

In what hell hole is this occurring? Some people beed to be terminated… not enough time and energy to reform. They do too much damage. I've seen 16 yr okd rape 70yr old… sick people. So dude you shot is dead? I hope you were paid a commission to society’s benefit.

Guy was a target and probably didn't own a gun. He clearly can't fight, is out of shape and unarmed so he should have just let them have the car and called the police. A great quote from a movie stated "the worst thing about growing old was that other men stop seeing you as dangerous…I’ve always remember that how being dangerous was sacred". This I believe to be very true. If other men see you as weak (and women too) they will try to take from you, think nothing of harming you and yours. In an ideal world people would obey the law, if someone steals or assaults you the justice system punishes them and you can always use your lawyer to sue but criminals don't care about courts so you must rely on yourself to protect yourself and your family. Even if armed its unlikely a criminal would try to rob you if he knows you are also armed, they might get shot. I've a complete redneck neighbor with a confederate flag on his porch, you think any criminal risking robbing him when they know he's armed to the teeth as are his family? That's my take on it. If others recognise you are potentially dangerous they will respect you and avoid a confrontation.

Criminals have the upper hand, they are well protected and the citizens in fear.
Fear - is a way to control people.
Yes, corrupt humans will prey upon others weakness. Even decent humans might sometimes.. e. g. we accept the poverty of other people to provide us cheap goods.
Hard to get to a gun when surprised, he'd have to be very well trained. In todays soceity if a rich guy shoots these thugs or turns loose his dogs on them, the rich guy gets in trouble and goes to jail. easier to give them the car and try and collect it later.
Sadly, that is the way we are going...
I support the old west way..."take my horse, you die on the spot". we'll throw your carcass to the vultures.
But that's not where we are at... fighting, or ignoring the plight of others leads to more problems. It's social re-distribution from corrupt society... as I see it.

These guys were watching this guy for a while. They knew he was vulnerable. If you let them take the car they will keep coming back again and again for easy pickings. I've been broken into a few times, shot the guy the last time.

yes, true. My primary approach was on the first article where the delivery driver was shot. It's just some food...
But coming into your space... and likely not punished by the system, that's bad. some areas, no choice but to use fear or death.

One of the guys I shot apparently he'd committed a lot of crimes that he hadn't been caught for yet, including raping an 80 year old woman

I ignore them than give a warning after that it is up to them how far I will take this. The time for niceness has been over for 20 years

that guy got 4 rounds in the back. that usually works, this time it didn't.
I recently had a kid approach me for $ for food... black teen (mixed?) from a rough area of town.. but nice enough, taller than me. I talked with him, bought him some breakfast and he was VERY reasonable kid. It was positive. I'd rather go that route. Tell the wrong kid NO... whom is not emotionally conditioned to handle a no, and be in fight for life... for a few bucks.
That is the reality around here as I see it. but that's my point, each person has to make their choices. There is a different breed of human out there, trained and conditioned all wrong.

People need to understand proper behavior. If they can't take no for an answer I have a problem with that. That behavior is a threat.

true. but the training is not there and they don't. they can't handle the pain. I've seen issues in our own kids at ages eventhough they are good kids. denying them pain and suffering of consequences means more power in them and the pain is greater later on.
put that in a corrupt soul, maybe a narcissistic one of which there are more, strong enough, with a gun or knife, it's a hazard.
I won't hesitate to engage a young kid that doesn't have resources and asking for something simple like food, I've regretted the times I rejected them. not their fault usually. if I see bad attitude, I'll adjust my view. It's more about personality and security.
Kids can get a positive from engaging with community.
It's subjective based upon the scenario of course...
