910 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Move to Europe lol that's the easiest way to fix the issue. There's 7 times less violent crime in Europe compared to america. America north and south combined have the highest rate of murder per capita from any continent only once close is africa. Asia Europe and oceania are extremely safe compared to any part of america. Everything has already been said about gun violence in america but nothing will change because not enough people care or some people actively push to make it worse even.
The system is in place and it has produced this result nothing you can do or say will have enough impact to change the outcome. So the only choice you have if this is important to you is to leave. Just by talking to the pro gun people on this website you can see that nothing you say will get through to them. They have basically been brainwashed. And this is a big part of your voting population that thinks like this.
It's been like this for as long as I've lived and nothing has been done.
If you travel and see other countries you will realize even more how crazy it actually is in the U. S. I'm almost 34 and I've never heard or been near a gun shot in public in my entire life. The only times was in the military in controlled environments. But in normal life it doesn't happen.
It's your choice but don't believe for a second anything will change for the better in the next 20 years. There will just be a lot of talking and no action.

When you say there is less crime in Europe, Do you mean the UK too? Because you cannot go on a train any more, without the fear of being stabbed for no reason at all in broad daylight!
- +1 y
@TommyMountainFigure Yes according to figures from 2021 in the UK and 2022 in the U. S. intentional homicide victims per 100 000 people is still 6 times lower in the UK than in the U. S. it might have gotten worse in the last 2 years but I doubt 6 times more people are being killed than in 2021.
- +1 y
Don't go by those figures, they are WAY too out of date. It is getting worse day by day. People being stabbed on trains in broad daylight, and the police are SO stretched there are patients being rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries and nobody even being held to account. London especially as at biting point, and I give it a month or less before the army has to be called in, it really is THAT bad!
- +1 y
@TommyMountainFigure I know things are bad right now. TBF England is the country in Europe that loves to emulate the U. S. the most. Privatization, tax cuts that help the rich but leave the country in a bad state, a lot of corruption a broken system of government but the public can't seem to do much about it, first past the post voting. Some things are old problems that never got addressed but others are active steps that the government has taken recently.
I hope you'll be alright and things will get better in the future. Good luck. - +1 y

@TommyMountainFigure what are the stats though, how many people travel by train each day versus actual stabbings on a train?

+1 yThat's the democrats plan, just make it impossible for people to defend themselves and hope the problem goes away.
Fact is people wanting to do this is not a new thing. It's an Inate part of being human that thankfully, none of us ever substantially experience.
What stops people from doing it are shame and violence.
If you shoot up a mall, you'll bring shame to yourself and everyone around you, great that's 90% of people never acting on a whim, what about mentally unstable people or psychos?
It's the threat of some rando pulling out a gun and having a field day on you, or ending up in prison where violence happens to you on an almost daily basis.
We didn't work like this for 2 million years and then it all stopped in the last 50 out of nowhere.

No, there are always "thoughts and prayers" to go around after each incident, and we all know how effective that's been thus far.

+1 yWhen mental health is considered a luxury, then mental health gets treated as a luxury. This is why Republicans respond to such incidents with "we need more guns!" and Democrats respond to them with "we need less guns!", as though it were the guns themselves shooting people.
Are you happier living in a place where your child has to always fear being killed by bombs or knives? You're no less dead if you're killed in a single shooting, and Democrat states are far and away the leaders there. Guns aren't the problem, and laws aren't the solution.

+1 yRepublicans don't care? They are the ones making sure concealed carry is allowed. Republican states typically have the lowest gun violence. They have higher suicide by gun and accidental gun deaths. Second part is in red states that have higher rates of gun violence it is almost exclusively relegated to cities and towns that are led by democrats. In nearly every metric blue is what leads when it comes to homicide, mass shootings, and all other gun violence. But the majority of woke tards focus on the overarching stance of the state in an attempt to manipulate the narrative. California a predominantly blue state regularly leads the US in every gun violent metric and has done so for about 43 years

exactly no coincidence. democrats ruin everything they touch.
+1 yThe answer is simple for mass shootings and it’s “ gun control “there is a direct relationship between gun control and mass shootings which is logical and backed up with actual research so the answer is simple.. control the guns , reduce mass shooting incidents. The right to bear arms is fine , Czech Republic as well as quite a few other countries have that same legal right but gun homicide related deaths negligible compared with the U. S.. Poor Gun control plus serious mental health issues = thousands of needless and preventable deaths.. but it’s ok the weapons industry is booming so we have lots of money 💰
00 ReplyGun control laws will never be a solution. Of all the mass school shootings, how many of them were done by legally purchased firearms by the perpetrators? Likely none because they're probably most or all under the age of 18. If current gun control laws aren't preventing school shootings, why would anyone believe that more strict laws on law abiding citizens would prevent them? That's would be like saying the best way to prevent theft from stores is by making more laws against theft. The people are already breaking laws, adding more laws isn't going to stop them

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yOf course.
Look, if Sandy Hook wasn't enough proof, surely Uvalde was. Proof that the bullshit lie of "Only a good guy with a gun" is just that - bullshit. And second, that the residents of Uvalde still voted the same shower of cowardly NRA loving brain donors. In other words, there will never be anything done about mass shootings or school shootings. Your citizens and children are the regular blood sacrifice you all willingly if unhappily make, to your demonic god of grief and misery.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yFun fact: contrary to your shitlib world-view, America actually has one of the lowest rates of firearm related fatalities in the world.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
Will you actually look at the list and charts?
Probably not.
Could it be that the media coverage of firearm related fatalities in America is sensationalized, repeated ad nauseum over and over again, and used to campaign on for political purposes and donors? Hmmm?
🙄

the term is cherry picking. the few times it happens the woke media makes a fuss as if common, but never mention other country worsemore frequent, because that would ruin the agenda of disarming americans.
353 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The simple solution is to not live around Democrats if you want to avoid mass shootings. Those false flag events always happen in some suburb of a Democrat run city, by some left wing extremist socialist that is mentally unstable and recruited and pushed over the edge by some spook psychiatrist generally in the public school or university system...

+1 yThe US Constitution is all about the right to bear arms! What would happen though if you were allowed to buy guns, but it was made illegal to sell ammunition?
Would that maybe something to think about in future, or is there way too much ammo on the market to ever make an impact? I dunno!10 Reply - 569 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYou only live in fear when you’re made to fear everything. Doesn’t matter how safe society could ever be, if you’re always negative about things you’ll always find something to reinforce that negativity. I don’t know where you live but I live close to the border of Mexico. Easy access to drugs as well as guns. Which is also (drugs) illegal as hell but people still get their hands on it. I’m pretty sure republicans don’t want to see dead children. I know I sure as hell don’t.

You misspelled black people
- +1 y
@JayBones2469 I misspelled a lot thanks to my auto correct. But school shooters were 80% white. So I don't know what you're on about.
- +1 y
@JayBones2469 mass shootings were also predominantly committed by white people. Black people are only the majority in individual crime associated gun violence. Not large scale mass shootings. That's a white issue.
- +1 y
You've been lied too. Look at the real stats and ignore what the TV told you were the real stats. I grew up in Philly in the 80s and 90s. It was N words that were shooting up the schools. And only 2 of the last 10 famous school shooters were white. And both of those were trannies.

@JayBones2469 dude i litterally just checked the stats before i wrote my last comment. you're deluded.
