Girl's Behavior

How do I get my new coworker to leave me alone? She’s very clingy and talkative and sits around for hours? New position? Everyone’s annoyed by her?

So this one girl started working here two weeks ago. She’s 19. The youngest of all staff. We are a long term care facility. I am a CNA. She’s the hospitality aide and works from 3pm-11pm. I work 7pm-7am. She’s floating on all floors and all she can do is pass out ice water on all floors, give out snacks after dinner and pass out dinner trays. No direct patient care. She’s the only hospitality aide on the evening shift. She’s super nice but my god is she chatty as hell. She literally annoys (EVERYONE, coworkers and residents) with her non stop chatter about random stuff and the most randomest weirdest questions and comments, like do you sleep with the light on, have you ever had a paranormal experience, the food here looks like cat food etc or let’s play a game or can I show you pictures of these animals I found at a nearby park, she has a witty dry humor and tries to make jokes as well. She also interrupts when you talk to ask anther weird question or make a comment about something else. Everyday after 6:30 there is absolutely NOTHING for her to do and supervisors are aware of this and she goes and talks people’s heads off. A resident complained saying we need to find something for her to do she will sit in the room and go on and on about different things, go in and out of rooms etc. she walks around this place like crazy too, probably looking for more people. There’s a lounge you will find her in sitting on the couch watching tv but she doesn’t stay in there for long. She will also follow you around like a puppy when your trying to change or feed a resident and when you say your kinda busy she will go oh sorry and go annoy someone else. Her mom works here as well as a nurse and the supervisors love her mom. Luckily she only works like 3 days a week but I swear she becomes super annoying when there’s nothing for her to do. She also asked me for my number and social media accounts as well as others. I want her to leave me alone

Like go take a nap or something - get out of everyone’s hair!!! We all know you sit around for 4-5 hours with nothing to do and that’s management fault for scheduling you these hours but it’s making all of us go insane. She also wants to hang outside of work - no thank you. She’s like an adhd ridden child

It’s normal to work either 8 hours, 12 hours or 16 hours in the healthcare field. I also don’t want to be rude to this girl since I kinda am on thin ice since I keep calling off and she and her mother might go to HR on me. A lot of us are sick of it.
