My neighbor suddenly walked inside our fence and our dog bit him am I rude for not helping him anymore?

My neighbor just walked inside our fence and our dog suddenly attacked him. We never invited or tell him to get inside our fence its also tresspasing now we gave him $20 for treatment because thats the only price in our country now his wife is asking another money $10 for his treatment I told her we no longer would want to help him because what he did is tresspassing and no we didn't even invite him to enter plus its been 2 mos since that happened and it should be half not just us who would shoulder the expenses because its his fault to tresspass. So why they are still asking money when in the first place its his fault to tresspass our house. Am I rude for telling his wife that?

Not sure where you’re at but where I’m at they would have probably taken your dog and had (he / she) put down as aggressive. Pretty much here if you’re not actively being harmed someone just walking through your yard ( fence or not) will get away with it all the time and never be charged.

The dog actually never harmed someone its just "him". Our dog sometimes outside the fence and he never attacks anyone. Our dog had given birth during the time he attacked our neighbor. Maybe thats why he acted that way our dog thought he might get one of his puppies (protective) not sure to

He had puppies, ok I assume that’s a typo. But, at any rate weather it was the only time that the dog was aggressive or not would be considered irrelevant. And the reason why would be also. A dog attacking a human, unless you (the owner) was in mortal danger would be put down.

People have a right to enter your garden if they have a legitimate reason and you have a responsibility to control your dog. What if he bit a deliveryman or a child posting leaflets?

No child will enter our fence because its high and concrete. Also I go outside to wait the delivery guy so that he doesn't need to go inside the yard.
