What do you think of the mother who was threatened with law suit for asking for access to the school curriculum?

This happened a while back, But the teachers union threatened her with law suite for asking to see the school curriculum.. It was posted nowhere online or anywhere else. She was told she needed to file an information request, and when she made that request they threatened to sue her. At this point i see the school system as the enemy if they act that way toward a mother.

Most states follow Common Core including Rhode Island. All of it is online for every single class the kid is enrolled in. You just have to look up the Common Core standards for each class. Teachers will try to hit as many of those standards as they can as they work their way through the adopted textbook. Schools shouldn't follow Common Core, just saying that is what the large majority of schools do follow. So the school board is bit retarded in that location.

Yes they are retarded. All they had to do is say "We follow Common Core. Search online and it's all there" and that shuts down the entire argument. Now they have to spend money on attorneys' fees for a frivolous lawsuit. Rhode Island specifically even has a curriculum visualization tool on their state government education website. I found it in 10 seconds...
