Should the study of economics be taught in school?

i realize my school had 0 economist class. why isn't it more common? teach people the principles of money spending early on. although, might not make a good economy if people are more money savy.

Yes but the problem is USA schools are extremely segregated by economic classes from property taxes. At some point you learn it takes money, a lot of money that just can make money.

The poorest people only are told to work endlessly for giant corporations and know nothing about local markets and how it benefits local communities from getting run dry but keeping wal mart going and going.

Yes because though coming from other country then you I neither had any economic classes in school. I learned broad aspects about our tax system but that´s it. I left school without having learned anything in accounting or economics.

Where I live, economics is only taught to economics students in high school and college. Since I didn't study it, I had no classes either.
But I agree with you, it should be taught to all students.

I only had economics the 2 first years of high school because I followed STEM. But Belgium has a totally different school system and I agree that it should be a must.
