Why can't the January 6th committee get basic information about a podcaster right?

I wasn't a fan of Donald Trump during his term because I was only hearing mainstream reports about him. I was in the UK for most of it and I didn't want to believe the BBC was biased to the political left. So I kept listening to them when I watched the news at all.

Then at the end of February 2020 I moved back to South Africa where the state run channels are blatantly left wing and what little news I watched that wasn't Covid was bashing Trump. It's a fair bet here that if the SABC is saying something then the opposite is probably the Truth.

So I started trawling through the internet to find content from other sources.

I'm now flagged as a "right wing extremist" on some South African channels and blocked from posting. I've had warnings on Tiktok because I used the "🤡" emoji in a comment pointing out that an English guy stealing his neighbour's WiFi was likely to plug an electric car into his neighbour's charger when he's out because of the insane "logic" he was using to justify stealing bandwidth.

I'm seriously considering getting lead based paint to decorate the borders of my property to limit how much bandwidth I "spill" into the street!

What I've seen of the committee's hearings reminds me in a terrifying way of the McCarthy era witch-hunts looking to "root out" Communists, just now that same mob mentality is aiming at Donald Trump followers.

I don't know what the answer is. The hearing "testimonies" I've heard suggested Trump is a menace, but then the unedited footage of his speeches tells an opposite story. The only footage that really hurt him is the film of the gassing outside the church he went to if allegedly injured people, but there's no actual evidence he ordered that action or even knew about it when he stood outside. Just speculation.

The whole way the committee is behaving feels like the Warren Commission, pushing the agenda of the current administration about Trump. And the footage released recently strongly suggests that "investigation" was a whitewash. How is it not at least possible that Donald Trump could be not guilty of treason on January 6th? Everything being spoken by mainstream media - which is proving to be 🐂 💩 - has been designed to taint any potential jury pool irrespective of where in the world they're drawn from.

I don't even think these modern Democrats are leftist. The left I remember is modeled after the ideals of Thomas Jefferson and whatnot which has very firm beliefs in freedom of speech.

The Democrats want to cry hate speech and censor you like some communist country. That's not liberal, it's not conservative, it's an abomination. It's authoritarianism.

Elon Musk makes a good argument when he says it's not really about right vs left but about the people who want to destroy humanity vs the people who want to save humanity. Or as people who believe would say: good vs. evil. But a lot of people don't want to believe it's that simple. A lot of the evil people are using labels to shield hide. Like wolves in sheep's clothing. And I think the situation is FAR worse than most people think.

Because the Jan 6th committee is completely biased against Trump. It is out to get him. So it attacks anyone who doesn't hate him in an effort to discredit them in the eyes of the public. The goal is to sway public opinion against Trump in a desperate attempt to keep him from winning the election.
