Are Americans fully of English ancestry since 1620?

You look into a phone book, or read a sports roster or a business's list of staff in the US, and all you see are surnames like Hill, Watkins, Smith, Johnson, Miller, Barnes, Adams, Foster, etc.

Not even a Scottish or German surname?

White Canadians on the other hand are Ukrainian, Russian, Jewish, Dutch, Polish, Italian, French, Greek, Scandinavian, Scottish, Irish and German.

What is this? Americans haven't changed since the 17th Century?
