Trending & News Modern feminism is pretty much the same thing as misandry. Traditional feminism started out with great intentions in a time when women had no equality. But there has been equality for many years now. I would go so far as to say that in western society it's actually more beneficial to be a woman than a man. You're cared for more. You're heard more. Jobs hire you for inclusivity. Men for the most part still pay for dates and drinks. There are actually women in Western society that say they don't need men in the world at all. But if you bring up statistics:
Construction Worker: Approximately 97% male.
Software Developer: Around 75-80% male.
Electrician: Roughly 98% male.
Firefighter: About 94% male.
Truck Driver: Approximately 94% male. Civil Engineer: Around 85-90% male.
Pilot: Roughly 95% male.
Mechanic: Approximately 95% male.
Police Officer: About 80-85% male.
Surgeon: Around 75-80% male.
Mining Engineer: Approximately 90-95% male.
Aerospace Engineer: Around 85-90% male.
Welder: Roughly 98% male.
Carpenter: About 95% male.
Automotive Technician: Approximately 95% male.
Railroad Worker: Around 90-95% male.
Security Guard: Roughly 80-85% male.
Oil Rig Worker: Approximately 95-98% male.
Landscaper/Groundskeeper: About 80-85% male.
Plumber: Roughly 95-98% male.
I can go on and on with this list. Good luck trying to run the world with no men.
The thing that blows my mind is their logic. They'll say something along the lines of "Women were enslaved for so many centuries, so it's only right that men have their turn." That's like black people complaining about their ancestors being slaves as if they're the ones that went through slavery themselves. People need to realize that we don't live in those times anymore and most people (in the west) believe in equality. Also, YOU weren't the one that experienced what your ancestors did.
Nowadays, women want all the benefits of feminism without any of the negatives. In other words they literally want their cake and to eat it too. Men paying for dates made sense in times where women made a fraction of what men made. But now that they have equal pay, most women still expect a man to pay for a date and will literally say they are turned off by men that don't and are more attracted to men that do. It creates this standard for men that if they don't pay for a date and "court" a woman that they won't be able to get her. And because of that standard, there are many many that convince themselves that you're not a man if you don't pay for a date. And that fuels the inequality.
Women desire equal pay to men in sports, which makes no sense when it comes to sports that require more physical strength and endurance. Men will always have higher peaks on average than females. And men will always bring in more ticket sales than females. If you're going into sports as a female, it should not be about the money, but about your passion for the sport. That's just how life is. Work to your strengths. It's the same regardless of if you're a man or a woman.
I mention all of that because modern feminists tend to use all of those points to hate on men. And there's more to add. "Chivalry is dead. There are no real men left in the world. No I'm not going to make you a sandwich. I don't cook. I don't clean. Men are all pigs that just want sex."
And here's some more that are absolutely disgusting:

No. Feminism is caring for the advance of the Cause Of Women. Not "for women", but "for the Cause". Men don't enter into consideration. That's sexist, but understandable if it's simply a matter of limitation; socities for the prevention of animal cruelty don't want it towards humans, after all, but Feminism cares for the Cause beyond caring for women.
Consider Erin Pizzey, who opened the first abused women's shelter, in the UK. She got LOTS of support from the Feminist community, as you might well imagine, but then a problem arose. Pizzey had herself been a victim of physical abuse, by her father... AND by her mother, even more so. So she knew that: 1. women aren't innocent angels incapable of wrongdoing, and 2. by the time your situation gets bad enough that you need run away from an abuser, you're probably rather traumatized, and in need of some counseling. The Feminists of the UK (which sounds like a horror movie monster, but... okay, I can't finish that clause with a straight face) wouldn't hear of it, and pressure against Pizzey grew.
Then she decided she also needed to open a shelter for abused men, and they flew off the handle completely. The harassment escalated, the death threats came in, and her dog was killed; eventually, she was driven out of the country. She eventually came back, because she's a badass, but to this day, she's banned from the property of the shelter organization she FOUNDED.
Now, someone who cared about women would want to see them get ALL the help they needed, either providing it themselves or at least steering them in the right direction, but defying the narrative was a threat to the Cause- it still is today. Wanting to help abuse victims would mean helping ALL of them (to whatever degree you could, at least), but again, that defies the narrative.
On a more current level, consider the issue of putting baby changing tables in men's bathrooms. There is no good reason this should be an "issue"; there are single fathers out there, women with husbands would no doubt appreciate being able to let dad take the baby sometimes, and it's not like it's incredibly expensive or anything- and a man going into the women's bathroom is invariably seen as a terrible threat, since both the Feminist and the Traditionalist movements have always agreed on THAT point, so women would logically appreciate that being unnecessary. But objections came up and turned it into an issue, and guess who was making them?
It's about perceptions of powerlessness and victimhood, and those things being limited to one group, and one alone, regardless of the actual facts involved. Female genital mutilation? An appalling practice that should be banned outright. Male genital mutilation? An entrenched cultural tradition that needs to be legally protected. Female reproductive rights? How dare you imply anything less than that it's the preeminent political issue of the age; consent to sex isn't consent to parenthood! Male reproductive rights? There's nothing wrong with a man getting thrown in prison for inability to make child support payments resulting from sex he never agreed to; possessing of functioning testicles is consent to parenthood! Battle slavery? It's- well, you get the idea.
The really scary part is that it's NOT malicious, just uncaring.
misandrists and misogynists are all the same. They both don’t understand the nature of the male , and the female.
The Misandrists don’t understand that men are naturally polyamorous and want to fuck multiple women.
The Misogynists don’t understand that women go into heat. And that women are hypergamous, always wanting someone better in looks or money.
It’s important to know these facts of biology. The reason we hate eachother so much is because we’ve been taught something different about eachother. Men don’t even know that women are “human” and we too become horny , and want someone hot. Disney, marriage and religion has completely brainwashed us all and fooled us all. Making us all expect something unrealistic.
I made this video the other day proving that women go into heat.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/MfdP6IySv6cNo. Feminism is wanting rights for women to be equal of men. Misandry is the deep hatred of men.
No, the word itself says what it wants. If women really wants equity (and NOT equality, we are build different) the have called the movement "movement for equity". You can read tens of books of the 19 and 20 century on the feminism. Many of them bluntly say "the purpose of feminism is to crush and dominate the male". I read so far 143 books on the feminism, and only a few (less of 10) was for the reality equity.

Feminism has taken on a completely different definition in modern times.
Personally I have zero problem with classical feminism. But modern feminism is a different story. But when anybody identifies as “feminist” nowadays I automatically assume they are a MODERN feminist. 90%+ of the time that’s true from my observations.
There needs to be a new phrase besides the word “feminist” for people who want gender equality but also fairly want equal gender responsibility. Something that equally calls out female bullshit while still calling out male bullshit. But I believe most people don’t want to do that. It takes way too much mental effort and self analysis. Most people don’t like taking accountability for their own gender’s bs unless it’s “humble bragging” which is a pathetic way to impress the other gender with the secret goal of sexual/romance rewards.
This is what most modern male feminists are secretly after. At best they were raised with an abusive father who harmed their mothers. I got a friend who supportive to feminism and he was raised by a rich step dad that abused his mother and him. He’s supportive of more old school feminism (he’s 20 years older). His generation had more real sexism. But if he was raised in my generation he might feel differently.
However most male feminists (especially young ones) think that throwing other men under the bus to impress women will help them get laid. Maybe it does. But if you stoop that low you really are a pos with zero principles. Harvey Weinstein once claimed he was pro feminist.
It is common today to think of modern feminism as essentially misandric, and in some cases, this judgement is absolutely well-founded. While traditional feminism of the first and second waves fought for gender equality and achieved those goals, modern feminism seems to have lost sight of that goal. In the past, women fought to be recognised as equal to men, but now it seems that some sectors of the feminist movement have embraced an idea of female superiority instead of equality. Today, when a woman calls herself a feminist, it can be seen as a red flag to some, due to the negative connotations associated with the term. However, it is important to note that there are still women who follow the original model of feminism, seeking true equality and not domination. Unfortunately, the presence of toxic and misandrist voices within the feminist movement casts a shadow over all women who identify as feminists, even though many of them still pursue the goal of a more equal and inclusive world for all.
Yes. Feminism is a mental disorder.
Women resent men because nature and evolution shaped men and women differently, both physically and mentally, for different roles in a family and a society. Feminism is an expression of their misplaced hatred for men which would be more accurately aimed at nature. But it's aimed at men instead in order to avoid the need to face the reality that since it is about nature and not nurture, it cannot be changed. Envy, hated and resentment of men is the backbone of feminism and the feminist mental disorder.
Yes and no. Modern feminism is absolutely very misandrist. So in that sense absolutely. Traditional feminism as it was during first wave/second wave was about equality of the sexes. They achieved that modern feminism is entirely pointless and is no longer about equality it is about superiority. A woman who says she is a feminist today is one of the biggest red flags around. Unfortunately because of the toxic women it applies to all feminists even though some of the self proclaimed feminists are actually using the original model of genuine equality.
I would say no misandry is just the extreme form of feminism. Because there is a good feminism where it raises the voice of women in situations guys would see differently. Like for example dummies in cars, a guy might say: Hey I just build a smaller dummie that´s a enough. Little does he know or think about the question whether a seatbelt is suited differently on a man or a woman.
There are situations like this or in terms of medicine where feminism has it pros.
Misandry is the extreme form of it to go further than speaking for women´s rights and come to the point of arguing that there´s no need for guys anymore or only if a woman leads things will go well. In situations where a guy is belittled and treated like a child or not like an adult misandry is around.
Only the hijacked version of neo-feminazi's are misandrists. True feminism is about equality before the law and when it comes to rights like voting, pay, credit, housing, etc.
It also began as a movement to say "women aren't here just to pump out babies, be kept dumb and barefoot in the kitchen, and acquiesce to the wishes of men no matter how unfair, sexist or idiotic those wishes may be." You can see how extremist women would take that idea all the way to misandry, I hope.
We should accept that the truth is defined by deeds not words.
People can insist the explicitly feminine word "Feminism" is somehow despite its very unequal name about being "neurally" all they want.
But its rather hard to accept the sex bias of the term itself is not a reflection of its meaning when soo many examples of its application to the contrary.
At that point we begin to wonder if the term is indeed a reflection of its etymological sex on anther way, its predisposition towards projecting a false image.
Today. In Practice. Yes.
But there's always an influx of young girls just turning political who believe it isn't. They'll talk about the ideals of what feminism was supposed to be. They'll talk about dictionary definitions. And they will have zero understanding or knowledge of recent history and the absolute shit show that feminism has become.
When these new feminists are exposed to men who say feminism is toxic, they won't listen or learn. They'll just dismiss him and his words as part of the extant Patriarchy. But if they encounter women who say they aren't feminists then they will be confused but they won't dismiss her as readily.
The only people who can alter the feminist hate movement away from misandry, are the women themselves.
Now a day’s feminism is blurred it’s hard to tell if it’s misandry or not I understand if it’s equality but one thing I know if your a radical feminist your going to say stuff like “hating men” I just want bride gap I’m passionate on this because men do get hated on and we don’t even talk about it so like I say today feminism is blurred. We get radical feminists who say they hate men. I do agree that feminism is for equality but remember what was made for to begin with so chew on that. Men get hated on and we don’t talk about it even biases in court systems there’s a lot I can go on but I’ll think I’ll stop here
Just chew on this we both want the same respect why can’t it be mutual?
They are indistinguishable now, because women have had equal rights to men for decades now so they just demand special privileges while putting down men. They only really want equality when it benefits them: they want the right to vote but not have to sign up for selective service, they want equal representation at the well-paying cushy jobs but are fine with professions like lumberjack or coal miner being almost entirely male. They are all hypocrites and deserve zero respect.
Feminism is like, you know, when mother tells me she's not going to organize my sock drawer. Misandry is when she make me organize my own sock drawer. Well, if mother would buy all the same socks, then we wouldn't have to play this game every night.
Nope. Feminism is only wanting equality between men and women. Misandry is sexist hate against men.
Name something feminism has done for men’s rights without it doing anything for women.
Let's start by agreeing that hatred and sexism towards men DOES exist, which is something many feminists deny.
Cats, I already acknowledged sexism against men exists.
For solace, feminism isn't limited to rights, its a totality for equality. Men and women have the same rights, but society is not equal in its application of laws and norms, which is what feminism is meant to address. For instance, men used to be expected to be the sole provider for an entire family, but now that burden is spread, thus helping to lower that stress. Another thing we are working on is child support. More and more women are now being made to pay the man child support, as opposed to the old default of the man paying only.
I don’t see any of that going over well with feminists
My point is that wanting equality between the sexes is a superfluous and (I would argue) badly dated definition that doesn't begin to adequately describe feminist philosophy as we see it practiced today. You define misandry as sexism and hatred towards men. Yet modern feminism posits that misandry itself does not and indeed CAN not exist, as men as a class are so privileged that any act or expression of hatred against us, matter how immoral or egregious is justified. You see the problem?
The democrats, who have taken over your movement, definitely use it as female supremacy over white men. So your definition of feminism is dead. Very few of you left attempting to keep the original alive. Just let it die so that this female supremacy feminism can die along with it.
I hate to break it to you, but that is the dogma currently dominating academia throughout the Western World. Their opinions are NOT worthless. They are backed and heavily funded by some of the most powerful institutions in the world. Its your opinion that is actually worthless, which I lament because its the correct one. Even so, you'd be labeled everything from a "Pick me" to a "Rape apologist" for what you just said.
Why not, sure 😊 if one looks at certain perspectives. I find it a logical answer, personally. And I'm biased. That said, I love that women hold down jobs, that women can vote and have basically all the same rights as a him, a they, or a other pronoun. 👍😀🙂
I'm pretty sure they're different, but people often have very specific things in mind when they use particular words. That's why you always have to get them to talk about what they mean by say, feminism or misandry before you can have any meaningful conversation.
Yes, absolutely. Modern Feminism is just another name for female supremacy under the false narrative of equality.
I am against feminism because I know that every ideology becomes ecdtramalba over time and leads to extremes and every ideology has an enemy. In my opinion, modern feminism only divides people and does nothing good for society.
Not exactly, but misandry is certainly very common in feminism today. It has become the face of modern feminism, and the denial among feminism about the problem is the biggest thing standing in the way of addressing that problem. Feminists have become their own worst enemy, and men's as well.
Definition of Feminism - The advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.
Definition of Misandry - The hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against men or boys.
But the difference of the definition does not mean that Feminists cannot also be a Misandrist.
What if a Misandrist movement took over feminist movement without changing the name and definition of feminism? Would you still believe it to be feminism?
@SolitarySolace If you are referring to what is currently called "Feminism" then NO, The current "Feminist" is totally focused on accruing power and it is a totally middle/upper class organisation that case nothing for working class women/girls as can be seen by how the "Feminist" movement and MP's in the UK have responded to the "Grooming/Rape" gangs in the UK who have targeted white working class girls, if those gangs had targeted middle/upper class girls of any race, the "Feminist" movement and MP's would have raised hell about it and ensured that it was in News Broadcasts and on the front page of every Newspaper until every perpetrator of the "Grooming/Rape" gangs were in jail for very long sentences not the derisory sentences that are handed down now.
Of course it is. Feminism starts with the assumption that men are evil and out to oppress women.
Promoting one group is not deleterious to the opposite group; that only applies in politics.
The same? No, I don't think so.
Closely related though, or overlapping? Yes, most definitely.
That's like saying military and serial killers are the same.
Didn't used to be but it's almost impossible to tell them apart any more
Feminists can "hate" men and Misandrists can as well but they need not be integral.

From an early feminist
Yes, feminism is hatred of men and control over them.
I think its a branding issue, the vocal minority has blurred the lines of what feminist and misandry mean.
Different species. Same genus or family perhaps.
No but that pic turned me on…
Though most feminists hate men, black men particularly.
Absolutely not!
One of the things that both feminists and misandrists is that they always hate on men.
They are today. It takes some serious mental gymnastics to try to claim otherwise.
it's a calling. men can't do everything. we need to corporate
In today’s world yes it is
Theoretically no, but...
only radical feminism
At this point they might as well be.
Obviously not.
Basically just opposite sides
It certainly seems that way.
What is misandry
Its a supremacist movement.
Not the same thing
Not exactly
