Do you think Poutine vision of international relations is the man of "19th century"?

I think if Poutine were running Russia, it'd be a happier and tastier place.
The distance between Warsaw and St. Petersburg is basically a flat open plain, and the vast majority of Russia's population and infrastructure is in the west of the country; Russian leadership kind of HAS to be rather saber-rattly. But here's the thing:
When the American Revolution began, the core issue was the lack of Parliamentary representation; the people were struggling with one of the smallest tax burdens in recorded history, but had no voice in their own governance. If George III had simply given them a few seats in Parliament, the whole crisis might've fizzled away. Why didn't he? Well, the first George had been put in power after England's own revolution wiped out their royal family. The newcomers weren't English, but German, and the hold on the throne was still shaky, and the thousand deaths at Breed's Hill were hard to ignore. George III thought about his peers, and how they'd react to the situation. Frederick, the German in charge of Prussia, and Catherine, the German in charge of Russia, would've laughed at the idea of negotiating with an armed mob, and sent the army out to kill them all. England's army wasn't very large, though; nervousness about it revolting again kept it small. But George had plenty of cousins all over Germany who had armies that were gathering dust, and they'd be happy to let him hire them for a while. So he brought over a bunch of Hessians, which enraged the colonists and swelled the ranks of the soon-to-be-American army. They thought of themselves as loyal Englishmen, who just wanted their voices heard, and now outsiders were being brought in to a family squabble. The rest is fireworks, eagle screeches, and history.
But let's make it alternate history for a minute: what if George HAD granted the seats? It would've been a blow to his prestige, yes, and the nation's- but it COULD have been sold as the actions of an Enlightenment-era ruler, especially if those responsible for the uprising had been arrested and tried. It would not have been popular at the time, but it could've been the making of George III's reputation (he wasn't actually a bad guy, but SOMEBODY has to take the fall, and it's him), not as the last of the old, but the first of the new. England could've been a haven for post-feudal liberal ideals. Instead, that task fell primarily to the USA and France, and we spilled an ocean of blood in the course of sorting it out.
Similarly, after Yeltsin left office, Putin could've transformed Russia into a haven for scientific advancement and open expression, developing its economy into being something BEYOND an exporter of natural resources. Soviet power was gone, yes, but Russian power could have risen in its place. Instead... well, you know what's happened.
So, no; I think Putin's more a man of the NINTH century than the nineteenth.
George III had nothing to do with it. Since the preceding English Revolution, which was basically about no taxation with no representation (in England at least), the English Monarch had no power after 1689. After that it simply did what Parliament told it to.
You need to start blaming the British Prime Minister instead of jolly farmer Geogre.
Lord North is your man to hate.
In truth I had to force myself because I have heard more than I want to of Tucker's high pitched whiny voice.
I don't think Putin had any surprises. He has view of history that sees various countries as not having validity though the inverse could be argued that Moscow belongs to Kiev.
Not surprising he thinks Empires have validity and Empires are entitled to buffer states as a near abroad. It is a form of a real politik that is rooted in the 19th century or 18th or 16th...
Probably why he's so popular with the American far right.
