This is always baffling to me because I hear certain people talking about ALL THESE MANY people who have suffered adverse reaction to the vaccine, but I have yet to meet or talk to a single person who actually has.

Well, that's not exactly true. A long-time friend of mine (I've known him since we were 11) was compelled to get a vaccine by his employer, and he has been bitter about it ever since. He tells me almost every day how he has suffered all kinds of adverse reactions to the vaccine, or so he says. He has had headaches, neck pain, foot pain, mysterious chest infections, stomach pain, fatigue, emotional problems, the list goes on and on.

Problem is, he has complained about such things for as long as I've known him. When I ask him how he knows these symptoms are related to the vaccine, he says "well something is causing them, what else could it be?".

In my opinion, the vaccines have become a scapegoat for all the mysterious and unexplained maladies that people have been experiencing since the beginning of time. But now, they have their "explanation", and someone to blame for it.

Sorry, I'm still not buying it.

Vaccines are safe until they're not. The Covid vaccines were rolled out as a matter of urgency and likely with minimum testing. I was vaccinated back in the day, I think with the Astra-Zeneca virus, with no ill effects. I never had time to get the booster, and I got Covid in January of this year. It was unpleasant but I'm fully recovered.

Regarding Ritchie Sunak, he doesn't care about you. He only cares about feathering his own nest and appears to look at the job of Prime Minister as a platform for self-promotion. 70 million die each year on planet earth. Death is not something novel. Colds, flus, virus', they're not something to cower away from. They're a reminder of our mortality. Of our desire to be on this planet. A reminder of the necessity to respect and value our limited time here. To be healthy. To have social relationships, humans are social creatures. Humans are statistically far more likely to die if they lack social relationships, especially the elderly. To get sunlight. To not be overweight. To get cardiovascular exercise. To be mindful of what we eat.

You realise you're saying Covid was a large percentage of all deaths in 2020, 2021, right? 2-3% of all deaths worldwide.

In your mind, it's also a "reminder of the necessity to" be young, presumably, since they're most (but not exclusively) likely to die of it.

When there's a pandemic, avoiding close contact saves lives. I'd rather be miserable for a while than dead or mourning forever.

Oh, and taking a guest on GBNews (the UK's OANN) at his word as he stands there and talks about how terribly injured he is is ridiculous. Unsurprisingly, he tries to let you think that every one of the 30,000 reported adverse reactions is a serious one, rather than just 10%, which makes maybe 3,000 in 5,500,000 people (and double the number of vaccinations), and there's a definite causal relationship to the vaccine proven in those reporting systems (there isn't).

At its worst, Covid was killing a hundred people a day in Scotland (estimated from 1,300 in the UK, and 8% of the population live in Scotland).

I'd like to see a serious statistical analysis, which excludes the number of people likely to come down with a health problem in any given week because an unrelated illness appearing the weeks before an innoculation wouldn't be reported as a side effect, but would in the weeks after.

For the record, about 8,000 people a year die of heart disease in Scotland. Look for the massive uptick in 2021!
