France is urging to take one step forward in the Ukraine-Russian conflict, setting aside the US in its narrative.

Your map is old. Add Finland and Sweden now. It also left off Japan which will be involved as well as Australia and the Philippines. Along with smaller states such as the Solomon Islands.

Behind it all is China. They had Russia go first, then Iran via Hamas and then China will attack Taiwan and later into the Philippines and elsewhere in the Pacific. The free world must stop buying from them which powers their military. Already China is no longer the main exporter to the US, it is now a more friendly Mexico.

Nearer than usual, yes- but we've been nearer. Remember the Cuban missile crisis? When a US destroyer group and a Russian sub almost set off WW3, but Vasily Arkhipov said "No, let's not destroy civilization today"? Or Operation Able Archer, when a Soviet computer chip mistook a flock of geese for a wing of American bombers, and went to launch, but Stanislov Petrov said "No, let's not destroy civilization today"?

I've been hearing about this on the news but I don't think that we're close to WW3. World leaders know that they have a lot to lose if they start fighting each other.

Also, it shouldn't be called "World War". The world isn't made of only western countries.

china won't attack taiwan isle because its losses during retaliation will be very big. russia just lost its best jets so it can't expand the wsr.

Russia won't start WWIII because of some French field hospital and instructors, advisers and support.

WWIII won't happen before spring 2025 at the earliest so we are further away from WWIII than say during the Cuban crisis.
