I heard one of the news pundits say that this isn't about safety for the residents. Putting the Guard in the subway was just a way of saving her reputation for her failing policies. At the time I didn't believe the pundit. But once Kathy banned their rifles, I realized I was wrong. It's no different than Biden saying how stupid the wall is, and then saying he was going to make it longer.
