It's a monument and promise to be made true. To strive for really. We need to make it true everyday with our efforts to be truly American people and a promise we hold true to our hearts.

If a day we truly don't belive in that promise they will have to destroy that monument of statue of liberty. in the same way we destroy Confederate cookie cutter mass production status in southern states.

I agree it's not a formal law. Is it not a promise made true and whole in the art and body of the statue of liberty to be true?

Meaning if we hold pride in the standards and standing of the statue of liberty we should strive in the promises of the poem it holds.

If we are to break that promises be should dismantle the statue of liberty if that is our true nature of law of the land.

funny, I see a LOT of Irish flags in Boston, Italian flags in Little Italy, etc.
We have Italian-Americans celebrating Columbus Day. Irish-Americans celebrating St Patrick's Day. Mexican-Americans celebrating Cinco de Mayo, Vietnamese Americans celebrating Tet, There's a big Polish-American celebration in Chicago every year with lots of red and white clothing and Polish flags, etc.
