I never really understood why people think university students who have no real world experience and little to no experience with politics would ever have anything of value to add to the same.

They are basically pawns of their teachers nearly all of whom have as little real world experience.

That is a fake argument. It is better to have 20 years experience as the students have than 1 year's experience 43 times.

@kelley1 I think perhaps you misreported that statement because it doesn't make any sense. Everyone over 20 has the same 20 years experience of growing up as students.
In addition to the every real world of experience they have acquired watching elections, raising families, earning money, and paying bills in the real world since.

So no there is no comparison between the judgement of a student who has maybe only seen a few presidents come & go, if they were paying attention, and someone who has seen many in addition to doing the actual work that runs the world.

To answer your original question, no fewer troops are required to put down a riot of a few hundred students than to control the invasion of millions on the southern border.
