Trending & News A living wage is not necessarily a lot of money. Anything above the poverty line is considered a “living wage”. If you work full time, you should earn enough to live independently and healthily.
It's the minimum we owe each other for working 40 hours a week no matter what the job. Don't like minimum wage? Fine! A universal basic income works too! Everyone is entitled to food, clothing, shelter, savings yes, just for existing.

Thats what rich people would say to keep the working class down so they can continue to exploit them and increase their already sickening high profits.
A living wage is a shot at companies that don't control the economics of the areas that they do business in. If you aren't making enough to provide for yourself it is because the government is too big and bloated. Vote out whomever is in charge and replace them with small government advocates. Inflation and taxes have a bigger impact on how livable any wage is than the actual dollar/hour amount.
Of course not; it's a WAGE. It has been earned by definition. UBI, you could make an argument for; not wages.
The anti-thesis for that would be non-living wage. Even slaves had to be fed now and then.
