How do you feel about Trump being in court?

He’s currently in court for 30+ felony charges for having sex with Stormy Daniels and giving her money to not talk about it.

He still has 3 other criminal cases to settle:

1- Election interference in Georgia
2- Election interference in DC
3- Mishandling classified documents

All together is 90+ felony charges.

This doesn’t take account two civil lawsuits too.

It really does blow my mind that republicans don’t mind someone like George Floyd being executed in broad daylight because they see him as a criminal but then vote to elect a felon as our president. Keep in mind NO OTHER PRESIDENT IN HISTORY has never been in court for being a felon before. Trump is spending all of his cash eluding all of his 90+ felony charges to gain presidential immunity. Republicans are another type of breed that make no complete sense.
I agree that Biden isn’t a shining example either but compared to Trump he’s not held up in criminal court and hasn’t even been indicted once.

This feels like the least serious one, going on currently. From everything I’ve read, it would be tough to acquit him, so his only hope is a sleeper Trump fan in the jury box. But all the MAGA folks complaining seem to ignore that the defendant has all the advantage in a criminal case, provided the facts are on their side. So I’m interested to see the reactions if/when he’s convicted. I’m sure it’ll be Spin Zone City, but I don’t know how you argue against this stuff unless you have a crazy idea that a president should be above the law and even above accusation and being charged.

Judge Merchan is already giving special treatment, he could’ve given him up to 300 days in jail for his gag order violations…. which before anyone says otherwise, was completely legit. You can’t just come out and publicly talk shit about everyone involved in the case, literally none of us would be allowed to do that, that’s Trump getting special treatment, not being “railroaded” or whatever he claims. All quiet about Judge Cannon in Florida on the documents case though, who seems like she’s trying to help him run out the clock and who has already been slapped down by a very conservative appeals court for the shenanigans with “appointing a special master” in the pre-trial stuff, and then she got the real case. So it’s ok as long as you have a Trump-friendly judge, I guess.

Honestly, I just love this insane narrative of everybody is corrupt EXCEPT Trump, the entire legal system, everything and everyone. I just can’t wrap my head around how anybody could see this and not think “welp…. I think dude probably just committed a bunch of crimes.” The only play they have is to write it all off as illegitimate nonsense, because the facts are clearly not on their side.

I'm not even a Trump fan, but I think it's bullshit. Name anyone else who has been investigated so thoroughly just to find anything at all to charge them with.

This isn't about Trump being an arch criminal. It's about the fact that he beat the Democrat's hand picked, mass murdering psychopath to be the presumptive president. She was very connected to the halls of power and lost her mind when she lost. She thought she was owed the presidency. So there has been a vendetta ever since.

Plus, the Democrats are terrified that Trump will win again, despite all their best efforts at character assassination.

Powerful people are after Trump. He wasn't groomed in the "inside the beltway" halls of power. I think that's all it boils down to.

As one with 1960s-style liberal values and a former Democratic voter, I am completely disgusted with modern Democrats.

Maybe every elected official and billionaire should be subjected to the same scrutiny as Trump. I doubt if many would survive.

That’s hard to believe that 90+ felony counts is bullshit. Even in the event that he is guilty his following would still find it non sense. Without any reason why it’s non sense it sounds like an adolescent response:

Keep in mind Trump and his allies believe the election was stolen with ZERO evidence found. His argument is always baseless. He never even won the popular vote the first election he won. All corrupt rich billionaires definitely need to be held accountable for their actions, I completely agree with that. Trump’s followers are the only ones who disrupted the certification of the election. No other following in US history has ever done that and stormed my nation’s capital. But pointing fingers at another politician doesn’t make Trump any less guilty of his crimes. I agree there are so many corrupt rich politicians out there and they need to be held accountable. Whether they are liberal or republican or anyone in between.

What this thread is about is Trump and where how he should be held accountable for his own criminal actions that he is held in contempt for in a court of law because he shouldn’t be held above the law that he has broken time and time again.
He violated his GAG order multiple times. This is just his first court hearing. Even if he is president, he shouldn’t have that immunity.

I’m convinced that there’s nothing Trump can do in order for his following to distrust him. It’s absurd to me.

Half of the shit (the Russia probe, for example) was made up, and almost everything else is exaggerated. Inciting "insurrection"? LOL. I know, you don't want to discuss how Democrats did the same thing.

It's not like Trump got busted for something. Democrats have had to dig, dig, dig to find anything at all to charge him with.

The Democrats have turned this country into a banana republic, vilifying their opponents. That is one of the reasons why I, a liberal and former Democrat, can't even consider supporting that party. Not that I like the Republican party very much. And I already said that I'm not a Trump fan.
