This Memorial Day I feel compelled to ask, what do we owe to those who fought wars over Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia? Wars that were "mistakes"?

I do NOT mean they shouldn't be honored for their sacrifice but what IN ADDITION do we owe them for fighting wars of greed, choice and imprecise and inexplicable foreign policy goals? Should we have held the politicians more responsible to answer for their lies, arrogance and egos? How did these wars impact the global view of America? Are these soldiers largely forgotten and collateral damage that still linger at home and abroad?
