We've seen various disasters since 9/11, an economic crash, covid, Hurricane katrina, 2004 tsunami, fukushima meltdown, Oklahoma train derailment etc that you need to be prepared to either hunker down at home until it blows over or bug out real quick. If you think about it most people live a few hundred miles away from a nuclear power plant built decades ago so there's a good chance that one day there may be a melt down. How about a serious pandemic like justinian's plague where the bodies pile up in the streets. Or how about a volcanic winter, where for a whole year or years there is no sunlight. Solar flares, Emps etc knock out the electric grid. Social unrest, rising crime rates, possibly of nuclear war or terror attack. Attack from chemical, biological, radical weapons. Earthquakes. Us Government experiment gets out of control. So much to prep for. We are due a major disaster.
