Residents in all 27 countries of the European Union went to the polls this weekend to vote for the European Parliament, which resulted in a surge of support for far-right parties across much of the continent while many liberal and Green parties stumbled. Far-right parties did especially well in Italy, Germany and France, prompting French President Emmanuel Macron to dissolve the National Assembly and call snap elections.

It's not a good situation for people born in awful countries... the misery index may go up. Know how many people died this year trying to get out of the hell hole their countries made... by boats... that sink, across jungles where people abuse them, trafficking.

Worth remembering voting for your EU candidate isn't the same as voting for who you want to run your country. Voting turn out is usually very low and it attracts a lot of protest votes from people who just want to send a message rather than change their government.
Another difference is unlike America where you only have two parties in Europe the vote can get split across several and its possible to win with only a small percentage.
I don't feel Europe's going to swing to the right, the UK looks ready to swing massively left, but people want to send a message about mass immigration from Africa and the middle East that causing problems.
The UK is only going to swing to the left because the population is massively uneducated and gets their information from the BBC. They think it's the evil right-wing Tories. Except the Tories have let in 700k net (economic) migrants per year for the past three years. And otherwise are just a left wing party in terms of their meaningful policies over the last decade and a half.

I'm still baffled as to why the level of debate is so low. The BBC and the debate or narrative is obsessed with small boat crossings even though that's a very small proportion. Most of it is legal.

The democrats have over played their hand. Biden ignores the Supreme Court and gave billions of taxpayer money to bail out college students. Biden's DOJ tried to put his loading opponent on jail. It is obvious that the US has to give billions to Ukraine because the Biden crime family has taken millions in bribes. Biden rants about how Trump will destroy democracy all the while his policies are destroying this country fro mthe inside. The public sees this and most realize who the real threat to democracy is. In a recent poll 62% of Americans want to deport all the illegal aliens. 32% is against it.
Biden didn't "ignore the Supreme Court", New York state convicted Trump of 34 crimes, Biden hasn't taken bribes, unlike the Trump family, and while people in general (including a third of Democratic voters) want illegal immigrants deported, I doubt they want programs where innocent Americans are swept up into camps in order to do so.

The Far Right in Europe is more tame than the USA, they have to be approachable to both sides of the isle since they know they are the minority also Far Right carries a bad rep from history. Donald J Trump made the Right far more extreme and less approachable. In Europe, Trump is a controversial figure so, it is hard to say if they would even accept him knowing his position on Putin & North Korea.
I do think a far right takeover of the world is inevitable. They control the media and the rage they use the media to keep pushing is too addictive for people to stop on their own.

I'm curious about who told you it leans left. Was it... the media? Because all the media I see leans right. Even the media that maintains a leftish audience only ever seems to put in front of people topics that it benefits the right for the left to see. Who do you imagine would tell you if the media does lean right? It doesn't benefit the right at all to admit they control anything. They need to constantly claim their battle is uphill or no one would buy their bullshit.
But my main basis is the shift to the right since Citizens United. Add to that the fact that it is far right justices who pushed it through and its obvious who it was supposed to benefit and thus who it does benefit.

Feel free to walk me through your study, in any case. I do agree most of the media tries to maintain a left leaning audience. But that's only for crap that doesn't matter. When real shit happens they drop the ball and say whatever the right needs them to say. During the BLM protests for example when Asian were showing up in solidarity, what did places like NBC, CNN, and ABC do? They showed videos of black men randomly assaulting Asian women basically on a loop until Asians stopped going to the protests.
This election year we have an overall successful incumbent against a guy who literally tried to start a civil war. And the "liberal media" is treating this like they are both equally bad choices. You can spend ten minutes looking for cases of the "liberal media" seeking out Trump supporters and repupiblican voters to interview and you'd come up with enough content to last the rest of your life. Try finding the "liberal media" interviewing a Biden supporter. Just one. Any non paid Biden supporter that's not in the context of 'wow, what a rare specimen.' Surely you understand how it helps the right to pretend there are no Biden voters but having nonstop brethless coverage of Trump and his supporters, right? That isn't something you need to "study"?
And that's not even mentioning Sinclair, the far right entity that's bought up a massive number of local television news stations and routinely makes them all read from the same script. I could go on but I'm sure to hit the character limit soon.

A liberal-leaning publication leans liberal because that's the style of reporting that appeals most to their audience.

There are plenty of right wing outlets pushing a both sides narrative, but to the point you're making; Trump didn't try to start a civil war either, and there's never been any evidence that he did. That's a factually inaccurate statement. So if you're basing your belief that Trump is worse on that statement, you're starting from a false foundation.
Even if we say that no conservative new outlets are pushing a "both sides are bad" narrative, the mere fact that liberal news outlets ARE is strong evidence that your foundational belief is erroneous. Because their audiences give them an incentive to paint conservatives in a worse light.
