i wouldn't keep it in my wallet because you can't spend it but my dad told me when i was 11 to always have $100 bill with me in case i ever forget everything else

That’s good advice from your dad. Up until around 1934 they printed these. We may never know how people used them practically in everyday life. I’d keep one just for my collection.
