I don't think the issue is as cut and dry as any of those choices. I think each case needs to be looked at individually, on principle. But the practicality of doing that is all but impossible given the sheer numbers of immigrants. On the face of it, I support only legal immigration. Then, in looking at the reasons for illegal immigration, I can't fault people fleeing the kinds of things the majority of illegal immigrants are motivated by. I think it is going to have to be a coordinated, multi-country solution somehow.

Being an international student with a proper student visa living in the US, it irks me that people still decide to come over and stay illegally bcs it makes it hard for us who are here legally… I know friends who have overstayed their visa and are on the lookout for an American husband. I know they’re desperate to stay but I mean c’mon… don’t just marry the first guy you see just bcs you want a green card 🙃

Yes. I know too many people who have overstayed their visas… A lot of them came in with a tourist visa and then they just decided to not go back home. It makes it hard for my family back home to apply for tourist visas… I’d want them to be here for my graduation :(

A l;ot of illegal are already registered. In the state I live in all you need is a drivers license to register to vote. They voted to give illegal aliens drivers licensees and there is no way you can tell that the drivers license is given to an illegal alien or a citizen. Many states have adopted policies that make it easy for them to register. Where I live they send out mail in ballots to everyone on welfare which is all of them. The democrats are even putting drop boxes next to the hotels the state is renting out to house them on their permanent vacation.

@DrPepper12 This is from the Sec of State's website. I does say that it is for citizens but there in no system in place to differentiate the citizens with illegal aliens. It is a democrat state so this is done on purpose.
