Why are people so insistent on firing off fireworks in a place where fireworks are illegal?

As the question states, I just don't get it, like maybe have some respect and don't do things that aren't legal, because they are probably illegal for a reason.

Because fireworks are fun. Not doing something fun because it's illegal is a silly reason to not do something. I have never blindly followed laws, and never will. Can't have the government thinking they can go around passing laws and people will automatically follow them. Blind obedience is dangerous. There needs to be some resistance in the system. It's a civic duty to break some laws, just to keep the government in line.
