I also believe homophobia is a learnt behaviour. Phobia means an aversion. Phobia can also mean a fear.

Anyway if a person goes out of their way to verbally insult or physically attack another person entirely because they are homosexual and no other reason that clearly shows they are homophobic and a sad human being. If a person is going out of their way to beat or verbally insult another entirely for being gay that clearly shows they have an aversion for homosexuality

I understand why a heterosexual person would think homosexuality isn’t normal because it’s not what they are used to.
but it’s certainly abnormal and sadistic if a person wants to make another person feel miserable or physically hurt them just for being gay. A person who feels pleasure seeing others feel miserable or physically hurt likely has psychological problems

My answer - No, because people can’t really control what they are physically attracted to but they can’t control how they treat other people and what words come out of their mouth. I wouldn’t consider a sentence like “I’m not attracted to black women” to be racist. A sentence like this seems racist to me “White women deserve better treatment than black women because they are prettier”

My answer is that depends on why it’s 95 percent black. It’s probably true in white, Arab or Asian countries or states were black people are a minority are more likely to be discriminated against in work placements or verbally harassed because of their ancestry or skin tone so if they created a place for black people only because they wanted to give them a space to learn and to avoid racism and violence.

Racism: The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

If you look to evolutionary biology you discover a concept called kin selection. Kin selection is a process whereby natural selection favors a trait due to its positive effects on the reproductive success of an organism's relatives. So relatedness is a natural driving factor in how organisms make decisions about others. So from birth you value your family over other families. You value people that look like your family (i. e. same race) over people that don't look like your family. You value human life over the lives of beef cattle and so on. The more someone is similar to you, the more valuable they are. It's natural and normal to see people like yourself as better in a since than the others. Does that mean they are superior to others in every trait? No, but they are on a primal level more valuable. So people will always favor people of their own race over other races on some level. It's not just a human behavior, it's a social behavior found all over the animal kingdom and it's not racist.

As to race being the determining factor for character and ability, that's learned through environmental exposure. Obviously there is variability across many charter and ability traits in any race. So to believe race is the driving factor for specific character or ability traits is just a denial of reality. That said, there are statistical trends that do occur in specific demographic groups. Smart people tend to utilize statistics to make informed decisions that evaluate risk. If there are certain negative character or ability trends in a racial group, then if you are smart you are going to know you risk increases if you have exposure to certain racial groups. Does that mean every one from that race will have those negative traits? No, but if 90% do, then you only have a 1 in 10 chance of winning if you roll the dice. Only a dummy going to play that game.

@Ladsin2 Humans are social beings and as a result we live in civilizations that surround us by other people and we must find some sense of social acceptance in order to survive within our environment. Without some sense of approval, we can’t acquire employment, purchase resources from stores, or rent/buy shelter, and sometimes even walk down the street without being beaten. There are behavior norms and rules we have to follow.

The cultural environment that we are born into influences how we engage in social interactions and establishes conversions that people within our civilization have to follow. Culture often varies from region to region, neighborhood to neighborhood, and race to race. So the cultural norms in one place my conflict with the cultural norms in another place impacting survival in different environments. When an individual from one environment is tossed into the cultural environment of others, it can lead to negative interactions which teach stereotypes about other races and ethnicity.

Additionally the natural environment impacts our mood through weather, it impacts our health through pollution, and the need for natural resources effect our behavioral patterns. This is why jails are often kept cold to calm people down and why violent crimes like murder, rape, and aggravated assault are more common in summer. So more well off people in hot environments can afford to run the air conditioner all the time and are more calm and easy going as a result, were as poor individuals can’t so they tend to be more violent. That difference leads to observations of groups of people that act differently than other groups of people seemingly under the same natural environmental conditions. We all have to deal with summer, so why are the poor blacks so violent? Yet you throw a bunch of white boys in the middle of the Iraqi desert and they fuck shit up.

If pollution negatively impacts the health of a people, for example by causing asthma then the group of people that live around the factories will make negative judgments about the people that own the factories. If they are different races then blame will often be shifted to the race rather than the individual, because they are outsiders. For example, blacks might think whites are exploiting them for labor and causing the sickness in their neighborhood by causing air pollution when in reality it’s just that blacks chose to live there because others didn’t want to live in the pollution and as a result the prices were lower due to supply and demand pressures. Whites didn’t do that to blacks. Blacks did that to blacks and then scapegoated whites for their own poor decisions. Yet the environment molded that way off thinking.

Often in civilizations neighborhoods of people without resources, border neighborhoods with resources, so the have nots become predatory toward the haves crossing borders and committing crimes. Being that neighborhoods are often segregated due to kin selection, this leads to conflict between races. The race that is the have not, becomes the aggressor committing crimes of violence, theft, and so on and thus repeated exposure to environmental crime from a group teaches that that particular race is a bad race and they are not as good as the other race. Someone can only be mugged, bullied, stolen from, vandalized, so much until they form stereotypes and one ant colony goes to war with another ant colony to repel the invaders.

Everyone is born racist. Racism is just pattern recognition which is what makes us human. Person X is doing Y, and person Z is doing A. Why the difference? One of the most notable things about us is our race, so it will obviously be noted as a potential cause for the difference. We deal with millions, if not billions, of stimuli consciously and subconsciously every day. We have to categorize that information by grouping it together.

Racism is the natural state of man. Has been for every culture for all of time everywhere throughout the planet. We’ve come from close knit tribal groups of ~100 people and slowly been expanding our idea of in-group solidarity wider and wider. From the village, to the town, to the city, and finally to the nation state. Taking America as an example there were a few small groups of English Puritans who viewed everyone else as an outsider. Then the Baptist’s and Catholics were viewed as outsiders until they weren’t. First amendment was written for this reason. Then the Irish, Chinese, Japanese, Spaniards, Africans, etc came and were outsiders until they weren’t.

Racism isn't genetic or necessarily taught, it's picked up on. There are numerous studies that show this in plenty of different ways.

You don't "become" racist any more than someone becomes opinionated on the stereotypes of people who drink mtn dew or whether someone puts ketchup or mustard on a hot dog.

No, it’s a learned behavior , if a child is born into a family that is racist , they will learn to be racist as well , by hearing their parents or siblings saying racist things. They will automatically assume it’s normal to be racist , it’s just like religion , we have no clue what religion we are , when born , we are taught by our parents ‘ the religion they believe In , as you get older , you can either choose sticking to that religion or choose another religion , or choose none at all. I grew up in a predominantly white area (at least it used to be that way). Blacks were a rare kind at the time. I remember as a 10 year old boy, I saw a black boy at my school, pointed, and shouted, "look, it is a black boy." I was at the local Target and saw a black lady as a cashier. I pointed, "look, it is a black lady." I was scolded both times, but it was that rare around here.

I have no problems with a person of any color as long as they are genuine, well-mannered, and considerate of others. The hood rats are the ones I have issues with.

It’s both. We are biologically programmed to stick to our own kind. It’s a survival instinct. Our brain has evolved to seek out the differences in others. You cannot simply "learn" a behaviour. You are predisposed to it within environment, sure. But studies have shown some people (particularly Whites) behave and act a certain way as their families and communities have lived a certain way that it's practically a racial trait.
