Yes I noticed that YEAR OVER YEAR inflation has dropped. But cumulative inflation since Biden was elected has skyrocketed to 22%. Claiming “oh annual inflation is down” is like saying “yeah I gain 8lbs of fat last year, 9 lbs of fat two years ago. But year over year I only gained 3 lbs. So let’s pretend all the fat I gained earlier doesn’t matter.

Doesn't change the answer much. After this election he's not going to be politically relevant unless it's slightly akin to Obama for the GOP or if he lobbies heavily.

Either way the big thing with Trump is not policies, it's the rhetoric. The rhetoric he uses is why he's so divisive, both absolutely loved and vehemently hated by others.

I think it'll be very good for the GOP as a whole when he's gone (not necessarily dead but out of politics) so they can focus on policy. The more the GOP harps on policy the better, rather than AIPAC candidate 1, 2, 3, random guy, old guy, and wildcard. The candidate should be driving home policy and ignoring the emotional crap that both sides are playing so hard on.

The odds they'll find a candidate so overwhelmingly drawn to after Trump is pretty low, so it's the perfect opportunity for a candidate to shift the style of rhetoric

@DryGermanGuy Bill Barr was the attorney General of the Federal Government. A goverment that has few and defined legitimate powers of a forign nature, with very few men to enforce it.

That almost entirely excludes any election. Indeed just getting his hands on State election data is very difficult for the federal goverment as as a whole.

He holds no rank at all among among the domestic governments with all the legitimate domestic law making authority and 90% of the force. So calling him a "law enforcement officer" is a bit of a stretch. he is a lawyer for the federal goverment.
