Which time period of New York City would you want to spend a day in?

As a New Yorker this was a very interesting question. My initial inclination was to go for late '60s early '70s with the insane party scene and free love! Studio 54 and Plato's Retreat sounds like it was 🔥 Plus all the big name rockstars were recording in New York studios then too. Yeah I'll go with that but to be honest any day in New York City is time well spent!!
Wasn't good!
Not a fan of New York City with much interest in going. I agree however simply for historical reasons the 1760s would probably be the best.

Spending a day in New Amsterdam, under Dutch rule, would be interesting
The 80's. Give me the clean coke people just winging it and actually being able to talk to people.
I would only choose 2024. I do not want to spend any time period in New York except the present.
that one day, in that movie... Gangs of New York... lol
Not Snake Pliskin in escape from NY? 😂
@DrPepper12 I don't know about that one... lol
The 1940s-1950s, or the late 1990s
Good choice!
I’ve read a lot about the Deuce (tv show not bad, not great) but Times Square in the 70s-80s was a cesspool. Be cool to travel back (temporally to get some cool pics)
You HAFTA see HBO 1 season show "Vinyl". EPIC 70s NYC music industry.
I need plumbing! Water pipes!
1790s
Agree 👍
The 1960s.
