One of the most popular tourist attractions in New York City is rats. There are rat tours where groups can go to places whare there are rat infestations. Some tour guides have as many as 2 dozen places where tourists can see rats on public streets or in buildings

Okay, so my wife and I spent a few days in Manhattan. We stayed at a hotel a short walk from Times Sq. It was the smallest hotel room we ever saw. We awoke in the middle of the night to a noise. When I switched on the light we saw two big rats fighting over half of a Big Mac I was saving for later. I called the front desk and told the manager that there was two rats fighting in the room. He sounded annoyed and said "What do you expect to find in a place like this, bull fights?"

Edge observatory and Summit One next to Grand Central. 212 steakhouse serves rats. Great place to take a date. Make it an unforgettable long weekend.

I've seen most if that. I want to see rats, i like them. As well some kind of insect infestaion… apparently some buildings are empty.


Id also like to visit the migrant housing. I've met migrants on the street and as people… i like them. Wish id gotten a photo driving but one migrant was selling containers of fruit 5$ and water…$1. Business! i got one. Twenty feet down a homeless middle ages white guy was holding a cup for donations.

By far the very best exhibit I saw at the San Diego zoo, was the meerkats.

I could watch them all day long. They have some kind of system where they take turns looking for hawks. But when they're off duty, they just play.

But the hilarious part is; their work shifts only last about 15 seconds. Then another kat or kats take over. lol

So other than grabbing a slice of NYC pizza, and assuming I don't get pushed in front of a subway car by a psycho Alvin Bragg let out of jail, I'mma go kick it with the rats.

I don't remember that one. But SeaWorld was about the most amazing thing I've ever seen. I'm talking mostly about the orcas. They are much smarter than most people.
The dolphin show was good, but they had a llama roaming around the spectators. Llamas display their affection by spitting in your face.

As a theatrical lighting designer I go to New York for the theatre. I did enjoy sightseeing and he beach at Coney Island as well. And good restaurants of course. We last went during restaurant week and the food and cocktails were to die for.

Have been to everyone but the zoo. Would love to see the aircraft carrier museum on the Hudson.
But not at this time! Don’t want to get beat up and robbed in the lawlessness of that city.

I’m from Northern New York. I have some family in the city and whenever we go there we just hang out with family and go to whatever stores, restaurants they like… So although I’ve been there plenty I have never done touristy things.

I think I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 rats though.

Another place to see rats cavorting is Washington DC ( no, I'm not talking the 2-legged variety). I've frequently seen them romping on the Capitol Mall and outside the tony restaurants of Georgetown.

I was there last month, and I'd definitely recommend the MET and MoMA museums. Central park is a must as well. For the statue of liberty, I'd recommend taking the staten island ferry, it's free, goes every 30 minutes, and you can see the statue very well.

Bronx zoo is cool, Empire State Building is nice up top , Statue of Liberty has long lines and need to book days in advance to go in but Ellis island is not as busy and nice to see. I’m only 30 miles away from there so I can take a train in and use subway or taxis, too expensive to park car there and not worth driving in there

I've been to New York City many times, worked there for a few years when I was younger.

If I spent a long weekend in NYC, I'd see as many Broadway plays as I can. I've seen all the other sights.
